I live in Massachusetts and I'm still waiting for the first fall. It is cold enough, and you can even smell the crisp, sharp, sweet smell of the white glory. But it has yet to grace us with it's true presence. So I ask you, has anyone here seen snow on the early winter of 2008?
Being in Texas, no snow here. It did get down to 39 F last week though.
I still remember one Halloween when I was young that we had 2 feet of snow in Pittsburgh, PA.
My cousins live in North Carolina, and snow is a big deal there, so I am sure it is a big deal in Texas. Do adults like the snow down there? Most adults up here hate it. I am a kid, so I like making snow angels and snow men and such.
I don't think snow is hated quite as much down here since it never accumulates enough to have to shovel or make your roof cave in. I do get a bit annoyed though when I wake up and have to scrape ice off my car windshield. Ice storms are more common than snow. It will rain and then freeze over. That can be bad especially since no one in Texas knows how to drive in ice/snow.
Yea, but I am sure the kids love it.
It was snowing up here in Ohio for a couple minutes early in the morning on Thursday or Friday.
Not that hard though.
I am dying to see it fall, I don't care how much it builds up.

I saw snow a week ago. It was good snow, too. None of that "freezing rain" or "flurry" crap. It melted quickly, but it snowed pretty hard!
last wed. here in southern Ontario, it started to snow in the afternoon
but it all melted right away. They called for snow squalls that night but
it didn't happen.
By Friday night it was back to T-Shirt weather again, much to the joy of
the Halloweeners! In BC they have a video of a little girl playing in a
sprinkler on Saturday.......playing in the sprinkler on Nov 1st in Canada!!
That's just crazy!! :D
It's been really warm lately. Usually it doesn't snow until Thanksgiving here.
It doesn't snow here in Florida..
Us Georgians think it will snow this year. The weather's been fluctuating a lot, but it's mostly been cold in my part of the state. We are VERY hopeful. :D

I live in Oregon and went to college in Montana. Those years in Montana cured me of a desire for snow, at least for a while. Last year it stuck around quite a bit (they had to shut a mountain pass down for a day or so in freaking July!), but normally it's not bad. I can wait another month or so for snow to come.
If there's snow in Portland, though, everyone admires it for a short time before realizing that they don't know how to drive in it. I'm sure you could find some good footage from last year of cars being unable to make it up hills. :D (I love Portland. That just made me giggle.)

Snowed all day yesterday and there's plenty of it now! Had to also scrape
ice off my buses windshield today! That's a drag! A lot of times you don't
have to. I remember a few years back i didn't have to scrape ice off 'once'
all winter! The windows were clear under the snow. But not today, our
first snow day. Everyone was scraping the damned ice off! Anyone who
loves snow is nuts! :lol: I can deal with a lot when it comes to snow, but
scraping ice off is such a freaking pain in the *** and pisses me off!!! :?
Hope it all melts again!! It wont this week though, since its supposed to
snow all week.....that could change also too though, so here's to hoping!!

We've had an Indian summer here in Pennsylvania, it was in the 50's and 60's last week. We just had our first light coating of snow today however.

i saw some flurries this morning..for about 2 mins
I saw the first flurry about two weeks ago. It snowed a little bit last week, but most of it has melted. I'm not looking forward to the really bad snow because then I have to drive in it.
It's been lightly snowing every night this week with it melting by the time I get up.

Flurry for 10 minutes today...
...then it ranied for 6 hours.
Came back from PA yesterday: 3+ inches on the ground after two days melting. In Ohio it's a rainy, cold fall day. On top of that, I had to battle through several thousand 'burboids at a Xmas lights festival downtown to catch my train.
It weas snowing yesterday and ther day before, and there was still snow on the ground in some of the more shaded places on campus.
we r supposed to get lake effect snow to-night WOOT!!!!!!!
