i just watched bowling for columbine and it had some thought provoking facts about america...
and facts that made canada seem kinda better than america
it also has a lot of mistruths... such is the work of michael moore.
yeah i know... lol the thing in south central with the black community, if they werent afraid of getting shot then they woulda shown them two white guys takin a stroll through a rough looking neighbourhood.
they also didnt show the number of gun related deaths in countries at war...
:-P
Seen Fahrenheit 9/11? I won't say all of it is true, but he sure didn't bullshit his way through it, he mostly just emphasized the hypocrisy. :|Quote:

I couldn't agree more. Canadians don't fear each other like Americans do. Americans are taught hate and the need for protection, Canadians are taught the virtues of friendship.Quote:

right you are
That's fine then, I guess I'm just wondering what it is about him you don't like...Arrogance?
what first turned me off was his "timing" in releasing this during an election year... that off the bat labels him as a blatant propagandist. and i don't like people who tell others how they should think... he is quick to wrap himself in the flag and justify his scathing attacks on others as patriotism, but when anyone questions his facts he immediately goes on the offensive against anybody who dares to question him. have you seen this guy in action? bowling for columbine was full of "creative editing" and large scale assumptions... that he portrayed as the truth even though they were nothing but assumptions that favored his ideals.
he does have some fact in his "documentaries" and he's allowed to express his opinions through the facts... but when i see him call others liars and cheats through these vague and shotty medians i can't help but think, "michael moore is a big fat hypocrite."
Well I guess he's no better than Dubya, but then again, he's not responsible for the stability of an entire nation (and indeed, the world)...
don't be fooled into thinking that because i'm anti-moore, i'm pro-bush. i simply don't like propaganda no matter what side it comes from.
Ditto. (I'm so glad I listened in English when we read 'Animal Farm', it's a very clever book about politics/russian revolution).
With a compass informed by a sturdy map,
what's a Canadian the captain asked.
Someone who says the truth three times,
one of the sailors laughed.
I wrote that quatrain based on a lucid dream. I was drinking with drunkin sailors when I became lucid and felt like telling them a joke.
Yeah, the U.S. is really the only country I've been in where the people fear each other, and sometimes with a good reason to.
And the money, heh: toonies, loonies, woodies, ect...
Yay, Animal Farm!
And it seems that in the past years, all the people that have ran for president are people who I really don't trust. I absolutly do not trust Kerry. He came to our school, and when we asked his questions, he had no real answer other than, "LOOK AT ME KIDZ I'M TEH COOL LOL!!!!1" And he also came on the auditorium through smoke, ugh. Bush hasn't made the best decisions, but at least he stands by what he says, and that's better than being someone that I have to guess what they are doing. Nader is ok, but sometimes he gets a little nuts and goes too far, things that would not be good. Gore "Invented the internet", enough said. Dean seemed like a good trustworthy guy, too bad he dropped out.
One more thing: If one more of those "omfg anti-bush lol" people dare call my house again (with a machine, assholes), or even tells me to join the bush campain and be a loser and quit, I'M GOING TO DUCT TAPE THEM ALL TO MY BOAT AND GO AS FAST AS I POSSIBLY CAN DOWN THE ROUGHEST RIVER I CAN FIND!!!
Soon enough Americans can have their revenge...when is a new president elected?
For the U.S.? Sometime this November if I remember right.
Actually quite sad that the country with the most stupid people also is the most powerfull country.
I wouldn't say that it is the country with the most stupid people in the world, but I would say that they have lost track of what really matters, and are now living a meaningless life...
Yeah, besides, we're way ahead of Poland on the intelligence scale.
i wouldn't be talking bacon... you're in san diego where it's like 5 bucks for a gallon of gas... and you have earthquakes... and title waves (maybe)... and arnold.
i rest my case.
