Thread: Reality Check Time?

I've had a couple "RC moments" today, but this one was so persistent that I had to photograph it and share it with you all.

The road in front of our shop is being reconstructed. I look out the office window today and saw... a PURPLE excavator!

Any other good RC prompts happening 'round your parts today?

(Most construction equipment I've seen in my life is yellow or orange, with occasional white. I've never seen purple before.)

That's more like blue. Looks quite normal to me. Wouldn't trigger a reality-check.

On the way into work there was a frog exactly the same color as my shirt. It was a bluish-green, very pretty, and it was really round-shaped and flat, and just sitting there on the window sill looking very out of place. I picked it up, and it was not very afraid. I had a strange urge to keep it, but then it peed on me and started to try to jump so I carried it over to the pond and let it go.

Guess what? I found a frog that matched me, totally distracted me from what I was doing, I wanted to keep it as a friend, and I didn't do an RC! Thanks for reminding us, pj, to keep our eyes open for weird things that can spark those am-I-dreaming moments. If you notice the strange things while you're awake, your much more likely to notice them when you're dreaming.

I like the purple digger-thing. Safety orange is probably safer tho.
