If you can, use DVI
for viewing on your tele
in order of best to worst picture
1. DVI / HDMI
2a. VGA
2b. Component
3. S-Video
4. Composite
Psst...thought I'd mention, power cords only run you a buck or two if you have anywhere that sells them used nearby. Even if you buy a new one, it's only $6 or so. I know 'cuz I lost the power cord for my computer on the way up to Logan, and had to get a new one.

I've got some torrented TV shows minimized (in the screenshot I don't, but whatever ) so I can switch to when I hear her coming.
And yeah... the connection is ... bear with me... an ... S-Video converter to RCA... Gaah I know its horrible, but really, its all I have.
My TV is a CRT, so no resolution changes without serious modding ( breaking ). the video card can render up to 1024x768 and still spit out an S-Video signal, but god bless its poor soul, it already has to put up with LINUX, and plus I can't read the writing at that high of a resolution and I'm too lazy to fix settings...
