Thread: SNILD (stupid names for inducing lucid dreams)

Allright, while I understand that WILD, MILD, and presumably HILD and are fairly canonized names for methods of inducing lucid dreams, I have seen a lot of other ILD's out there that sound just silly. Now either we as a group stop it or everyone tells me I am wrong and that any variation of ILD is legitimate and I need to shut my mouth. So what do you guys think? Am I off base or have you also seen too many of these??

I don't think that LDing is a matter of the technique you chose but a matter of your attitude and frame of mind. There are enough people who have loads of LDs regularly without ever doing RCs in real life. WILD and MILD are as far as it goes and the rest is just playing around... If you go by technique then the best would be critical awareness while awake (no need to look at your hand - look at your life), and the right intention and attitude.

This thread has been needed for a loooooong time. I agree with you completely clockworkoranges. Basically its just people explaining the method that they use that works for them and then they throw a name onto it and there ya go.

I only WILD and DILD so I don't really care or pay attention to the others. Alot of people don't like to listen anyway and make up their own names for crap so...eh...whatever I guess they are going to make up whatever ILDs they will and there's really nothing we can do about it.

haha... Thinks Sci Fis lmao. But I peronsly dont use any specfic method. I just try different thigns out. I do not name them of corse though hahaa.

i don't read all of them, but i did read a few in the past. the ones i read were mostly based on already existing techniques only loaded with unecessary steps. just losers trying to get attention.
