I'm 53 and mum signed me out of school at 15 (grade 8) and I began my working life. I had 13 schools in those 8 school years. At 35 I did an English night class (yr 12) and got 10 out of 20 (it was a pass, just). I'm not acedemic though I tried and tried doing adult educatiion.

You are casually using so many terms which themselves carry a huge weight of individual interpretation and argument, but you use them as if we all have a shared and clear sense of meaning for them. things like: enlightenment, energy, soul

You may feel you personally understand exactly what you mean by these, but language is a public enterprise- so it's just not helpful. You have to define explicitly your terms before even beginning to talk like this- otherwise its little more than words in pretty shapes with a meaning only you understand.

things are changing for me and I hate change. from the age of 12 I was the greek archetype persephone. but for a few years now, the number 5 has been raising its ugly head. I hate the number 5.

just now 5 shouted at me. so I looked at all the 5's (hearts, clubs, spades amd diamonds) and they are all horrible. So then I looked at the 5th Major in my old book and it is the archetype "Chiron". He's half-human half-horse.

You percieve me as a lobotomised crabe (Persephone) but apparently that long-loved archetype is fading (very sad for me) and Chiron will replace my dying long loved friend Persephone.

I recon this may take a year or more to complete.

I have been Pesephony all my life so changing archetypes is sad. I don't think it's voluntary. Like how moving from a the terrible 2's onto my third year of life was not voluntary.

At 3, the long-term memory is ready to work. That's why most humans have no memory of the first 3 yrears of life. The brain has not develop enough to allow long term memory till 3 years of age.

That 27 lecture, Berkeley University course (in above post) is over-my-head (too dificult) so I went looking for the basics (nuts and bolts) of Philosophy.

Sean has a very big course too.

At the end of his very first Youtube he talks about what he calls his 3-year-old definition. Part 2 of lecture one begins with a joke that explains his 3-year-old definition of Philosophy.

It syncs with how I said that my losing Persephone and aquiring Chiron is as involuntary as growing out of the terrible 2's into a three year old.

So, I will study with Sean first then get back to John Campbell.
