It is impossible for anything to completely 'eat' itself, because you'd have to eat your own mouth and that is just impossible.
But if you somehow could, or if eating oneself means eating the body but not the mouth, then the question would be similar to asking if I'd 'eat' myself now if I were starving. Since I am edible. And no, I would not. That would be stupid. My hunger wouldn't be satisfied if I were to eat my stomach and all other digestive organs.
