Who wants to see pennies? I want to see a posse.

Despite what most people say, I still feel pennies are worth something.

In my line of work most people give them away, but I for one am not too proud to pick one up off the ground. Who wouldn't want to be one penny richer, I figure.

I simply can't resist the strange ones especially. Some of my favourite pennies come from foreign countries.

They may be a little dirty at first, but clean them up good and underneath they are just the same as any other penny.

This thread was like right when I first started going post crazy on DV... how the hell did 15 year old me not notice this??

Today at work someone brought in some that were....sticky.

Now, normally, random coins don't bother me but...sticky? Gross, come on man I don't wanna touch that now...wtf is on that?

Everytime we pop open a fresh roll of shiny new pennies people suddenly appreciate pennies. Like they've never seen them before.

Moral of the story: keep your pennies nice and clean, please. We have to share the pennies we are given, can't we at least try to not gross them up for the next person?

At least with pennies you don't have to worry about people handing it to you from their sweaty bra or sock. The WORST. Please people stop doing that, no one wants your sweaty stinky wet money. Invest in some pockets, at least. Seriously, they cost cents to handsew.

Pockets? My jeans take 45 minutes to put on every morning (they make my butt look fantastic) how am I supposed to keep my pennies in a pocket? I just let my pennies hang with my coin purse.

All I'm saying, is that
A coin purse is nothing more than a standalone pocket with a drawstring at the top. And also, any pair of jeans worth 45 minutes would come complete with what you need to stash your penny finds for the day.

That tiny pocket inside another pocket but only on one side of your jeans? You know, the one that always seemed pointless and unnecessary? Coin pocket.

Keep that penny squeezed in that tiny pocket and you'll never need a coin purse. Once you hit five pennies you are already in the nickel market so start trading up.

Costs less than investing in a purse of all things.

When I was a kid my family had a giant green glass jug with a glass/cork stopper. It was so large that I couldn't put my arms around it at that age. We saved so many pennies in that jug that we took a vacation with them.

But upon filling it another time it was so bottom-heavy that it broke. Moral of the story: too many pennies can break your bank.

If you think I can squeeze my pennies in my pennies pocket, you underestimate how tight these jeans are.

I had a Colombian pennies once. I found him on a bus. Don't have his picure: ( He was a good pennies.

As a cashier, I get paid to handle lots of peoples' pennies. Not too many, and not too few, but just enough pennies to make them happy.

Also, here is my pennies. It's pretty big, if I do say so myself.
