does anyone else experience this? at night time, I always get really depressed, when I stay up, I think more and get upset because I think about upsetting things

Umm I was just talking to someone about that today :/ The best thing to do is do something to keep you busy or keep your focus away from your inner dialogue. When it comes to meditation if your having trouble with inner dialogue, you can stare into the flame of a candle or just something else to keep your focus away from your inner dialogue. the thoughts are what make you more sad and depressed. You keep thinking about the same things over and over and it keeps manifesting more negative emotions.

What are you thinking about?????????????? ? ? ?

synchronicity...I can't help it...and in meditation is there any other way to shut off inner dialogue?

My mind is really kind of not thinking about anything. I'm too tired. It feels a bit foggy from tiredness. I was thinking about that dream... and trying to figure out if I'm remembering it correctly. And another dream where I was was fighting some guy. He set me on fire and I couldn't put it out with anything and it fucking hurt like I was fucking on fire!!!! I jumped in water and I was still on fire. We were fighting in some place in the sky. I was standing on some giant stone platform with clouds far below me.

Well so the thing is with inner dialogue. you need to focus on something besides it. So they say focus on your breathe in meditation. If you have a hard time with that try something else like chanting ohhmmmm over and over. or look into a candle flame. When you think about that stuff its only making it worse for you. But you must accept what thoughts are already there also. And also you need to allow those thoughts to process. You must let them flow through you and just look at them. Just see whats there and let it flow out of you. So don't trip on thinking in mediation. You have thoughts just sitting in your mind already. You gotta let them be. But if you can't help not having a conversation with yourself and creating more thoughts you really need to focus on something else. But whatever the case its ok and your not doing it wrong. So don't think that. Meditation is not about doing it right or wrong. it just is. so don't worry about how you are doing it to much. Just look within. Look within as long ass you can bear.
