Wow, Mark, get over yourself. Are raving lunatics and others that believe in such nonsense things, like super powers and magic, really pissing you off this much? You even said it yourself: they seek each other out. So obviously, they aren't spending time with you.

And your remarks about religion. Some groups of people find comfort (myself not included) in believing in a higher power or "control". This doesn't make them crazy or "psychos". There's a difference between believing that you can boil water or move a pencil with your mind, and believing that something transcendental has perhaps created the (so far, not completely understandable) physical world.

Yes. It really annoys me when I'm not allowed to criticize ridiculous things.

Really? And what difference is that? It's believing in magic either way. In one case it's god's magic, in the other, your own magic. Some people find comfort in believing that they can boil water or move a pencil with their mind (see "Insufficient Reality Syndrome" in the initial post). Maybe I find comfort in mocking these ideas. I think you should just respect my beliefs.

No one said you're not allowed.

I respect them; I'm just letting you know what I think.

And what I think is believing that oneself has special powers is nonsense, though I wouldn't necessarily group it as believing in magic (some believe, laughably, that such things are physically possible, therefore not magic but simply a 'taming' of the physical world or some such stupidity). Generally accepted obseravtions of the workings of the physical world prove against the existance of such things. But when you deal with notions of the metaphysical, and that which we cannot truly observe. You have to take your ideas of god outside the realm of miracles and incarnations and messiahs, and into the core beliefs of some religions, which deal with acts of the creation of the world/universe.

For example, if one believes that a being--it does necessarily have to be a "god", but can be some kind of force or power--allowed the realm of our existence to come into existence, I would not find that man guilty of having this "Super Hero Complex" you speak of. There is no magic in this scenario. It's as if this 'thing' has pushed a switch of sorts, and subsequently sat back, allowing the universe as we know it to be. Plausible? Perhaps, who knows. The point is, I can prove to you, for example, that people cannot move things with their minds--within a high, high, degree of certaintity. On the same page, I cannot prove to you that some kind of power, for example, jumpstarted the universe.

However, I do see the same amount of nonsense in both miracles/holy works and things like telekinesis.

Sorry, haven't been on in a while. I wasn't trying to ignore you or not answer your questions.

Well, you pretty much just said what I originally said, except in a far less exaggerated way, and without claiming to be a fake psychologist. As for the not allowed part, I was speaking specifically about the "Beyond Dreaming" section of this forum. You're not allowed to post there unless you buy into the junk they talk about there (telekenisis and stuff like you mentioned).

Okay. I don't know everything and no one does.

      Yes, I'm ready.

Someone else might know part of the truth that I don't.

Can we skip the formalities and get straight to your point? Or are you just stalling because you don't actually have one?

Yes, I accept that someone else might know part of the truth that I don't. It's sad that I have to spell this stuff out for you.

There is potentially a problem with every theory, although it is possible that some theories are entirely accurate.

Why?! Why not? Isn't it possible to have something explained correctly?

I know exactly were I am going, but there are twists in the path

      just keep watching

so, if this hypothetical person had the answers, what would they be?

or, if we take your other root

so, are there flaws in evolution?

      pick one, or more

This hypothetical person would be someone who knows everything.

There may well be flaws in any given theory of evolution.
