      Vision induced lucid dream.

I have mildly poor far sight vision in which I cannot see or read things that may be at a certain range. I do not wear glasses or contacts as of now because I never came across as this being a life essential as in I can still bare it and do things just fine. But I would like to conduct an experiment upon subjects who have poor far or near sight vision. If you agree to do this you MUST have visual disabilities. This is a test to see if ones vision can help attain lucidity in which the dreamstate often enhances aspects of the body and environment. I have not found anything like this on here, and yes I have searched or I wouldn't be posting this. I have infact dug up old posts about visions effect on dream and waking life but not to this extent.

How did this idea come upon me?: Well I was trying to see the time on my oven and I could not tell what time it was to save my life, my eyes just couldn't see that far, but my mother and I share almost the same exact eyesight and her glasses work fine for me, I put them on and could see everything much better and I instantly thought "Hey, maybe I can use this as a dream sign or something similar. I have had dreams where I could see perfectly and very far infact. I never thought that I would be able to use this as an advantage, and although I haven't had any experience with it yet I do have a lot of faith in it.

But how could I use this to my advantage?: First off I would like to gather a few people who wear glasses for near/far sight difficulties. Then I would like them to write a word or draw a picture on a piece of paper and put it at view range in which they can clearly see it with glasses or contacts on. A thought came up that people would ask "But I don't always dream of the my room, or the room I put that picture/word up in, how will this work?" I have thought of that for awhile and came up with a hopeful solution. If you can determine in waking life an approximate distance in which you can and cannot see something, possibly in dreams, no matter what the scene, an object, person, sign, et cetera could be seen with or without vision help.

But what if I am dreaming and know I have glasses/contacts on?: This has came up a lot in my thought process of putting this all together. We usually take both of those things off before we go to sleep and forming the habit of telling yourself "My glasses/contacts are off/out and I am going to sleep they won't be on until I awake" there are some complications with this too, because in all seriousness knowing you have your glasses on (contacts are a little harder to distinguish) could possibly make you lucid already.

Now how will you go about doing this?: First I need a few things.

      1. A few people who will agree to doing this, one group will have glasses the other contacts, or if we don't have enough of both just one group.
      1A. A far sighted group.
1B. And a near sighted group.

      2. Also a group of people who have poor eyesight but use nothing as a visual aide to help their vision get any better.

      3. People with good vision as a control to this experiment.

If you are interested in this experiment then I would love to have you in my research.
      It's a mad world.

I can be your control group considering I have fine vision but I just don't understand how do you go about this? It's sort of unclear...

im near sighted and have become lucid before in a dream by realizing i could see leaves on trees (in real life, without my contacts, trees just green blobs to me ) though i never wear my contacts...so the only reason it worked was because i was used to not being able to see things in detail >_>

Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.

I have very poor eyesight but I wear glasses. I'd help you out in your experiment.
