Ok I finally tested it and I failed miserably it took me 40min to sleep but then I woke up 2 hours later with no dream recall.. (I took an afternoon nap) |

i think the key to this method is relaxation. Just relax and listen to the sound of your voice. I read the other AILD method that says have someone else say it, but if you recognize your voice wouldnt you say, " hey Thats MY voice" and you should realize that youre dreaming. |

Have someone else record it. Also set it as an alarm to go off after about 2-3 hours, and start repeating. This way, you never hear it before, and it becomes more effective. |

The way ive tried this was using the repeat function on my stereo and putting it on a volume so I can barely hear it. This way it doesnt hinder my getting to sleep and also it seemed to have an effect even at that close to inaudible volume. I think the real key to it is to get the volume adjusted to the point where, as Doc said, you can be relaxed enough to get to sleep. |
