I didn't read the whole thread but you don't need a game.

      Got powerpoint?

Open a blank white slide, hold down B (black screen)
Or black and hold down W.

      Uh, no.
You can't just make it go and a completely random pace. It needs to be a certain hertz. As in, the number of times it switches on and off every second has to be almost exact.
This is why you read threads before posting. It's one page dude.

One of the links posted said avoid, I think it was like, 14hz or higher?

Is there any danger to going up to like 50 hz to get to the high stages?

Probably not, most monitors refresh rate is 50hz. It's so fast you can't notice it.

i say this quote because really to understand complex metaphysics and or quantum mechanics you have to turn off that logical computation conscious mind. think of your conscious mind as a filter... if you turn it off, you can perceive more all at once.

also though, the lower states of mind delta/sub delta are also associated with the higher gamma/lambda waves... it's almost like inverted in a sense. the lower your mind is the higher it achieves this state of complete focus.

hope that helps, i'm not trying to put my opinion down as fact just throwing it out there for ya

Hm, I think I should add though that at Alpha you perceive more of your surroundings. Whereas lower ranges like Theta and Delta you can think more easily.

That's why cats are so bloody amazing at doing things really fast. Like they'll flick a ball or something and follow it unbelievable precisely. Because they're brains are always in Alpha mode. But it's also why they're so friggen stupid!

I think that's also why if you put induce Alpha brainwaves during REM through sound or light you will become lucid, because you become more aware of your "surroundings".

But yeah, lower frequencies are better for thinking etc.

to say one frequency is better for one thing is hard to do since well it's basically a cross-interference pattern... you have all these waves going on at once, almost like if you picture a fabric, and each weave is just part of the pattern, but it's all about how it weaves together... like for example you can have strong delta waves and be completely in tune with your surroundings.

not too disagree with above post, as certain ranges have their functions etc but just stressing the combination of them all you know.
