My Psychotic Project

The title probably should be psychology but well, you get the picture.

That doesn't mean I don't have a project to do for the class. So we were assigned presentation projects. Anything that has to do with psychology.

The cool part is that I chose to do "dreaming" (my favorate subject). But I may need your guys' help on this one.

So far, I got plenty of information posted on my presentation but I feel like I need more. What is going on biologically during dreaming?

Does anyone know a good site where I can get this kind of information? I would really appreciate it. Sorry this thread isn't exactly science based, but my presentation involves gathering the scientific info. on dreams.

And mods, please don't move this. I already tried the education department and no luck.

I'm sure people here have good knowledge on the physiological views on dreaming, but I need a good source other than a post on a social site. And I'm gonna need more than the sleep stages since I already covered that.

I'm sorry if I let you down, I just want to be able to answer some questions from a biological perspective like what neurons are activating when hypnagogic hallucinations occur for example.

Just because we have a forum doesn't make Dreamviews.com a social site. The forum is a social place, but there was a time when DV had no forum and was merely a hub of information.

If you want a site other than Dreamviews, you'll get better information by asking Google rather than us.

Any information on this site is taken directly from the research of Stephen LaBerge, and as such is likely the most accurate resource on Lucid Dreaming other than his books and papers themselves. Which you will need to go to a bookstore to get.

I didn't mean to come off as an ass, I'm sorry. I love dreamviews as much as the next dreamer and I have read 3 Laberge books and one other lucid book.

Wikipedia really isn't a good source and I really can't provide a source based on what someone here said unless I can get a source from them. People here often make mistakes with their science (myself included).

All I'm asking is for a reliable source to back up my facts. I forgot to mention it is a requirement for my project. I can't use what you guys alone claim and neither will wikipedia work. Lucidity.com looks like it may provide me with something. Thanks for that. :)

BTW I'm looking for more than just lucid dreaming science. I want to know what's biologically going on during any other dream.I read from someone else that Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex is deactivated during a non-lucid and he used a source from a research scientist.

I just need to find a way to talk about the science behind dreaming in about 8-10 minutes. I already have the information LaBerge did with his break through in proving lucid dreaming but I need to fill in more about dreaming in general.

I'll find a way and I guess if I have questions, I'll post. Like...

What happens during a hypnic jerk (I know what it is, but what is happening to your body?)
