How do you propose to go about doing this?

Incubated dream about your target, becomming lucid then finding them, or trying to influence a sleeper's dreams while you are awake?

That's a very interesting question.

I need a partner with which to resonate for a short time on this forum, in order to come to a mutual and comfortable agreement, on how this is to be achieved.

I plan on using methods known in ESP and mental projection coupled with self-hypnosis.

I'd be interested in giving it a try if you're serious. Most of these projects are filled with people who all say "Do me!" but never make any effort of thier own.

Although if you attempt this with me, I'd like to propose a twist. How's your Kung Fu? I've been spoiling for a dream scrap, and have been meaning to issue some kind of challenge somewhere, but the thought of actually meeting in a dream always complicated things.

I've been attempting to influence people's dream while awake myself, with mixed results. The biggest problem is the target not remembering dreams after I've made an effort to send. But one time I tried to send the image of me holding out a deck of tarot cards. THe first night the target dreamt of normal playing cards, and dreamt of tarot cards the next night when I wasnt trying. Close, but no cigar.

Hum, I've never thought of influencing someones dream while awake. very interesting.

As for kung Fu I refuse to use my martial arts for anything other than self preservation and attaining personal strength. I fallow master sun-tzu in that the greatest way to win a battle is not by fighting but by not fighting, this is called over powering the enemy with a strong presents so he sees that to fight would be futile.

Other than that and sexuality I'm open for just about anything.

I thought we could, through PMing, and along with a third party, agree on nights to attempt shared dreaming, along with some subject matter.

Forget about it then. After that high and mighty rant about your martial arts, there is no way I would be able to resist dropping a mountain on your head.

The fighting wasn't about power, but about having fun.

Through seeking only fun in lucid dreams, most fail to see many possibilities in it. However, that is for the best in the end.

All mountains crumble, They don't last forever as they are made of sand and dirt, make sure the mountain dos not crumble and bury you.

Well so is it really possible to share dreams? Because I've had an experience last night , which quite possibly could be my first shared dream.

Taltho, would you care to say when you sleep? Time zone, usual hours of sleep, etc. I'd like to take part in the experiment if our sleep shedule matches.

I believe it is, but I would like to do this experiment to have a more concrete assurety, right now I can only see it as an assumption. Thats whay I want to do this experiment.
I believe I've had many shared dreams, but I can't be certain.

I sleep from around 10:00-11:00Pm until 8:00-9:30am Mountain Standard Time.

I'm 99% sure I've had one with someone, although she didn't rememebr any dreams that night...

Ok, although we're on different hemispheres, our shedules sort of match . Let's hope it's a good sign. Sometimes the shedule will be different for me, but I can warn you beforehand, and anyway it's still possible to fit in some sleep in a range of hours that you specified.

More questions to you. When exactly do you plan to try meeting each other, any time? I think it's easier to have our subconscious plan to try it close to the time we must get up, as we're likely to remember what we dreamt better. Share the other details, too...

I agree. Also you should let me know your tiime zone. that would help me focus my time better. I offten wake up after my dreams, actually we could tell each-other/the-other to wake up as an added effort.

I think we should concentrate on dreaming of a certain place, somewhere like in the Sea of Cortes. or the middle of the Himalayas etc. You may have some more suggestions as well, lets get a short list together then decide a place. This control of environment will help us to focus don't you think? Also I suggest we meditate the night before to help us focus.

We need a 3'rd party volunteer to record data, such as what will you/I tell the other etc. this as mentioned above should be a minimum of 3 things, something to tell, something to see, something personal about hte self.

If you have any suggestions I'm all ears.

It's daytime for me, and it's ok, I don't have a strict sleeping shedule, so it's sort of impossible to tell you when I usually sleep Anyway I can stick to the hours that you specified.
As for an added effort, I don't quite see what you mean. If one of us is sleeping, you can't ask for an added effort. You want us to get online if we wake up and if we think there was a successful attempt?

I didn't have time to reply sorry. I had to go to work this morning and I thought it might give us some more insight insight to read that post.

I've been thinking about that, all tho it is a good suggestion, I feel a little uncomfortable with the approach. I'm affrayed because of my uncomfortable state it may hinder the possibility in myself achieving the goal.
Why do you not like the idea of meeting in a specific area? We certainly don't have to if you don't want to.

I understand about the mirror. I like the shaking idea I think we should use it.

Doing it simultaneously might be crucial, too. We can set time and how long we medidate. And something else must be in common, maybe repeating the same phrase? It depends on how you meditate. Please, share your ideas.[/b]

Colors are vague I'd suggest something like a possession, we could also meditate on our own item to share what do you think?

I feel uncomfortable about it. How would it work? You and I each create an area, so we have two areas instead of one. We each go to our area and search for each other in vain... or maybe find there a figment of our own imagination. That's how I understand it and I don't like it. Even though I do understand what is meant by meeting in a certain place, it still turns into two places in my mind .

I wanted to let you know I am going to the reservation to a sweat lodge (part of the native American ritual) today I do this a couple of times a month, I may not get back here till tomorrow night.

How to meditate. I suggest we keep in mind, while going to sleep the other persons user name/identity that we want to meet.

since finding someone is proving difficult I will start a dream journal here on DV's and we can compare notes, if you are comfortable with doing hte same.

by meditating on an item I mean keeping something spucific in mind to try and bring it into the dream world with you and me.

Depending on how it works (and if it does), we may be wasting time wink.gif. It must be a sort of telepathy, or a meeting in a collective unconcious, coz dreaming worlds don't really exist. So who knows how it will work out when it does. We might even see a different place each, but receive correct information.[/b]

I'm somewhat convinced the dream world exists. Even if some other way if we receive correct info that would be phenomenal, especially if we came by that info in a dream.

Can't remember anyone shaking me lately or asking questions . Right now there's no need to start a journal, I think.

We still haven't decided about transportation, imagining a place, a type of questions, etc. It's a hint to someone else who might be reading this and is interested to take part in the experiment. It dose seem complicated. I'm not in any hurry here so i'm taking the time to test it as well as I can think of.
