Informal Summary
This is my attempt to come up with a curriculum to go from my current very poor dream recall to being able to WILD at will within a 3 month period. I do not know if 3 months is enough time to reach my goal, but I do know that it should be enough time to prove or disprove my methods. I call the project "Lucid Machine" because I see the mind as a machine that needs to be built up, tuned, and skillfully controlled in order to lucid dream.
The Purpose
To gain an ability to induce a lucid dream at will from waking state(WILD).
Assumptions
1. Lucid Dreaming is when your concious awareness is shifted completely away from this "primary reality" frame and into another subjective one.
a. In order to move your concious awareness into that of an "inner realm" it first must be removed from the primary one.
i. In order to move concious awareness to anyplace at will, one must first learn to skillfully control it. (WILD)
b. Energy levels and concious awareness are intimately tied together. When one has a surplus of energy their ability to absorb information and interact with their invronment is increased. ex. If someone lacks sleep and is suffering from deprivation, the memory, coordination and awareness are all impaired.
i. The brain functions depend on available energy. Optimal performance requires optimal brain enerygy.
ii. By improving energy levels here, lucidity in the "inner realm" can be increased.
c. A and B can be trained/improved.
Hypothesis
1. I believe that by learning to control my conciousness and shift my awareness I will be able to Lucid Dream at will directly from the awake state.
2. I believe that by increasing my energy levels I will increase the quality and clarity of my lucid dreams, along with quality and clarity during the awake state.
Experiment 1 - Mind Control
For this portion I will develop my ability to concentrate. For me this means being able to focus on a subject at the exclusion of bacground environment and thoughts.
Experiemnt 2 - Energy Level
For this portion I will increase my energy levels through diet, detox, exercise, and possibly energy work.
