Hi long time without checking up my account. Anyways, I will do a 3(depends) day sleep deprivation for two reasons, I enjoy nodding and I want to experience dreams melding into reality. |

Darkness holds our sleep, sleep holds our dreams & dreams hold our memories.
Hi! I have recently too become interested in sleep deprivation. In the summer, which is not far from now, I am going to deprive for 84 days. If I can, I will go farther than that. I will intentionally stop myself at 115 hours for health reasons. I might not make it, but I am pretty prepared. The reason I am doing this is that I am writing a psychological horror novel. I am on p. 150; it will be about 500. I decided that I need to get a creative push, and that in order to successfully scare people and imitate the sense of insanity, I needed to be delusional and paranoid and freaked myself while writing it. I just hope I don't screw it up... The characters just kind of do their own thing, I am just like a medium. Seriously, sometimes they mess up the plot with thoughts that I have no idea where or why I thought them. It is confusing. Someone shot a hooker, and I'm just like "Bitch, get back here! Scrape this body off my floor!" No, I jk, don't worry, I don't have a alternate personality. I can always delete it, but I just like to let it go and wind into an incomprehensible bundle of murders and plot holes. Then its my conscious job to clean it all out and make it scary. |

I'm very curious as to your results and experiment Alexander. I will be checking here regularly for your updates. Myself, I'm slowly transitioning into a sleep schedule that will, at least initially, involve a lot of sleep deprivation. I remember having excellent WILD results doing this previously. |

when we go into too deep of a sleep, we don't dream. sleep deprivation, then finally going to sleep, will result in pretty deep sleep. |

Also to add to the other answer you got, REM is usually prioritized by the body /before/ deep sleep, so you can fall into REM straight away no matter what time of day. The difficult part is waking up afterwards as you will immediately fall into deep sleep after. I know from experience after doing polyphasic sleep experiments. I would never dream during my longer naps, but my shorter naps would be pretty much all REM, and I would have some pretty freaky experiences. |

REM rebound. You have to go through to deep sleep first, then the REM goes crazy and lasts way longer than usual. That's why you were successful. |

I did sleep deprivation in the army as part of mandatory training, we did it outside in the bush, they made us dig trenches, and through artificial bombs at us, and had instructors doing shifts to make sure we were still up, i had the most vivid dream ive ever had while falling asleep for 15 mins, and i thought i was dead or something i was in a very weird planet or place. also, you will have hallucinations , this is the thing about the hallucinations though, u wont just see something that isn't there. what will happen is that you will see something that really is there, but see it as a totally different object. Example. i saw a bear coming towards me and my friend in the trench, i shot at the bear, and after i walked over to it i realized it was just a garbage bag. |

I did thirty hours multiple times while on mountain trips. I would start climbing at the middle of the night and be back in town by morning. I found that I hallucinate very easely if I'm alone. It doesn't seem to happen around others. |
