yeah don't expect anything in the christian religion to make any sense or be fair at all. |

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
You go to a Catholic school, what else to you expect of the rules? You think they'll celebrate Hannakuh or something? |
|
Can you see me now?
Christianity is about faith and control of the masses, it doesn't have to make sense. |

"they afford greater pleasure as food [than fish], and greater nourishment to the human body, so that from their consumption there results a greater surplus available for seminal matter, which when abundant becomes a great incentive to lust." - Thomas Aquinas |

Haha yeah I remember they did that in my highschool too. And every goddamn Friday of Lent. My parents expected me to adhere to that rubbish as well, so I had to sneak deli meat out of the fridge and make my own lunch. |
|
I went to Catholic school too and yeah the whole fish vs meat did not make any sense to me either. (Though at my high school, the alternative was cheese pizza from Domino’s!) |
|
Invisible man, I don't mind celebrating it, I went to a half hour mass and didn't moan about it and the only reason I go there is because it is the closest school. |

From what I understand, the fish was to safely identify if one person was a Christian or not. This has symbolic value because the Apostiles were supposed to be 'fishers of men.' This was back when Christianity wasn't the most popular religion in the world. They are right in saying the cross is the 'main symbol' of Christianity, although you're correct in saying other symbols are used in Christianity. |

Meat is murder, so I eat fish. |

You are dreaming right now.
A joke? Or are you actually serious? Hard to tell. |

I'm a vegetarian and this shit confuses the hell out of me. Some people do it for health reasons, but other people, like my ex-girlfriend, are just crazy. She was a vegetarian because she didn't want to kill animals, but she didn't apply this to fish. She even tried to get me to eat fish because she said I was to skinny and need protein. True enough, but fish smells like shit. If I eat any animals again it's gonna be BEEF; steak's the only meat I ever miss. |

157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

This reminds me of when we went to Spain and some people in my class were vegetarian... So they gave them chicken. Because chicken isn't meat. |
|
Yeah, I've run into that. Why do some vegetarians say it's okay to eat chicken and fish? It makes no sense. |
