I'm curious as to what he meant by "what went wrong". Was it related to the book? |

Just got back from the Doc. I go to a Christian Medical place because it was recommended to me so I wouldn't get referred to a shrink when I needed pills. So anyway, I pick up a book he has in there while I am waiting, he comes in and tells me that I can borrow it if I want. I told him after the 2 pages it wasn't somet...hing I think I would be interested in reading. So he asks me why I wasn't interested in the book. Hence I get into a religious debate with a doctor (which is much more difficult then debating people without doctorates). So now he wants me to think of 3 things, where did we all come from, what went wrong, and how do we make it right, in respect to my worldview. I figured I'd post the questions here to get other peop...le's answers/perspectives before I formulated my own. |

Well, it's pretty obvious the book preaches christian doctrine... "what went wrong" refers to original sin I suppose. Wow, pushy doctor!! I'd just tell him I:m an atheist and don't care to discuss it with him. Or do you need to (pretend to) be christian to go to that hospital? |

I thought that was the initial premise. But apparently you don't have to be religious to be a patient. He knows now that I am not only an atheist but also gay. The kicker is i went to the shrinks above his building (christian shrinks) for about 3 years when my parents found out I was gay. |

I have learned that a very quick way to respond to somebody who asks questions like that is to use three words, or else just hold up a picture. |

You are dreaming right now.

The geat blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it.

198.726% of people will not realize that this percentage is impossible given what we are measuring. If you enjoy eating Monterey Jack cheese, put this in your sig and add 3^4i to the percentage listed.

No, those three questions are used throughout most Christian faiths. |

Would it be considered evolution if we reverted to microbes? |

we came from a big bang that was probably the opposite of a massive black hole on the otherside of the dot |
