Thread: Great book

read a great book called 30 Days to Understanding the Bible by Max Anders..
If you are having trouble studying the Bible I would recommend this. I have a friend that was recently saved and he was having a hard time trying to figure out how to study the Bible. I found this book and thought I would give it to him as a gift. I decided to read it first and i found it very helpful.

The problem with the book is that it's just that one guy. It's Max Anders opinion on how you are supposed to understand the bible.

Last i heard, there are over 6000 different sects within Christianity. That only begs one question. Which sect has the right understanding and interpretation of the bible?

And knowing books like these, its probably one of those books trying to tell you if something in the bible appears illogical, contradictory,misogynistic or homicidal/genocidal then you are probably reading it wrong or whatever excuse they make.

Actually this book teaches how the Bible is made up, what time period different books of the Bible are etc... It is more about how to study the Bible, not for example cliff notes. So with that being said, don't judge a book by its cover HAHAHA
