Nikola Tesla predicted that society would someday be female dominated, run by "queen bees." Looking at history, you can recognize the sex dominance of societies as cyclical. There are examples of past societies in foreign lands that were run predominantly by women.

Given trends toward reason, athiesm, gender equality, etc. in the first world, I think that the issue of sex dominance will largely be moot once people get their heads out of their asses and realize that common sense is a better moral compass than a book aged well over two millenia written by slaveholders, wifebeaters, and barbarians. You want a real power struggle, look at the dominance of the wealthy over everyone else. But that's a different topic for a different thread.

Most of the world was dominated by woman, when people didn't realize men had a role in child birth.. That's when goddesses were highly sacred.

Duality can best describe our histories... We started with woman dominated world, than came the three religions that dominated afterwards the Abrahamic religions took over and they were male dominated... hopefully we can center and understand the importance of both sexes, in religious and/or reality based terms.

The myth that Eve was made from the rib of Adam was obviously written by illogical, misogynistic, insecure men.

In fact, what science actually tells us is almost the opposite. In the womb, every early fetus has the default template of female, until the Y chromosome takes effect on some of them and gives them male genitalia, testosterone, and so on. This is why men have nipples, because the Y chromosome takes effect a little late, when breasts have already formed. I'd LOVE to hear the bible's explanation of why men have nipples.

This is not to say that women are dominant. They're both equal. My theory is that the root of all our social and cultural sexism in society is in religion, because there's no doubt that religion shapes the culture of a people. Alternatively, it's also no secret that statistically more secular countries like Sweden also have a higher Gender Development Index.

I guess it's a good thing that America is becoming more secular.

Okay, I know this is going to sound horrible. I don't believe men should "dominate me" but I definitely think a man should be head of the house hold (financially) and the woman should be head of house hold (stability). I definitely think men and women should walk beside each other down their road of romance, and compliment each other where the other person lacks.

I am kind of old fashioned in that. It's probably a southern thing though, because my thoughts on this weren't swayed because I'm a christian. I was NEVER taught in church that a man is above me.

I just saw how my mammaw and pappaw were, and they worked out for 50+ years with how they did things. My pappaw called shots on some things like work and what not, and my mammaw never got in the way of his decisions. My mammaw called the shots on the children, and he never got in the way of her decisions on that either. He worked and she nurtured.... well she worked as well, but she definitely wasn't bringing in the majority of the money that paid for things.

That sound so sexist lol....but honestly it's more of an equality thing. Why the man may have more say so in other areas, the woman has just as much say so in other areas as well, ultimately equalling out.

I understand this doesn't work for everyone, but it has for me so far.

I don't think men and women are equal. Men should submit to women as women don't have an aggressive nature. Women in power equals world peace. The solution for all the worlds problems is so easy, but the hate against our own speices, against our own women is too big to overcome. Most men will never admit that women's intelligence is superior, most women don't even understand themself because society is retarded so women start to doubt theirself. Who's crazy, me or them? The image of "women" is simply totally destroyed when in the Dark Ages, they systematically burned all women on the stake who had authority. Since then on, christianity has always claimed men and women to be equal resulting in an unbalance. Still today, every single man believes they are equally intelligent as women.. lol.

This is simply how nature set up things. The female must be the queen bee because she is passive by nature and doesn't use aggression. The male must be the worker bee because he is active by nature and thus loves the passion for skills.

Men and women are not equal, they each ahve their own roles. Sure we should have the same rights, but we're not equal. Men have dick and women have pussy. How is that equal?

Christiantiy simply raped the whole world and has made men believe they are superior to women, while it's the other way around. Why are women not in power? Because men are using aggression to putting themselves into power instead of putting the intellectual superior women in power. Result? World corruption.

Chayba, you can't legitimately paint with a broad brush and say women are passive and don't use agression. I have seen way too many exceptions to that to accept it. People of both genders have agression and power issues, and they should be equal.

Female dominated relationships have become so common that they are mainstream and I would even say majority now in the United States. I find them just as disgusting as male dominated relationships. Women are not as violent on average, but they are just as verbally abusive and mentally manipulative in way too many cases. Most men who try to control women use scary voices and threats of physical violence to get the control. Most women who try to control men use either agressive, commanding voices and/or underhanded insults followed by smiles over and over and over until the man feels like he is so pathetic he has to let the woman make the decisions and treat him like a puppet. It is the hijacking of a person's soul, so to speak, and it is sickening. I can't imagine treating somebody like that while I am supposed to be in love with her, and I can't fathom putting up somebody treating me that way. A few women have tried, and they blew it with me. Screw all of that.

That doesn't bother me so much. It's just a sensible and respectful household management agreement where they are equal overall. It's the power trip stuff that I find disgusting.

People are eachother's equals, no matter their race, sexuality, gender, beliefs..etc

When will people start realising that and stop desiring this to be discussed?
For me it is as obvious as that 1 + 1 makes 2. People are equal. Stop dreaming otherwise.
