Thread: The science of the Holy Spirit?

Has there been any research done into what happens in the human brain when people claim to feel the Holy Spirit?

Me? I don't think anybody has done any research on the topic, and if they did, I doubt as though much (if anything) could be found.

Theoretically, communication from the Holy Spirit is done through our being. Our being is in the spiritual realm, not the physical.

If I give you a lobotomy, is that spiritual or physical?

Heh. Physical. But I wouldn't trust you to give me a lobotomy, because I doubt you have a medical degree.

Claiming there is some mystical realm that your memories and brain functions reside in is about as unfounded and superfluous as it gets. Prove to me that there isn't a server at the center of the sun that is the source of life and is your final resting place when you die

So about your spirit "hypothesis". What characteristics does it have?

They'd probably find large amounts of serotonin and other chemicals in their brain and find that most of those people have extremely addictive personalities.

Well, there been dozens of studies about near dead experiences. Also the Holy Spirit in the brain is examened. There is a relation between the feelings and the pineal gland. The small piece of brain which survived the evolution.
This part of the brain is also used for the fight/ flight responses.

I think when you look up the pineal gland on internet you will be convinced about some theories.

I have some experience with DMT, this is a product of the pineal gland which can be chemical produced but can also be found in some herbs. This is very interesting because this "drugs" is released by the pineal gland.

I'm convinced about the Holy Spirit in the Pineal Gland.

Ps. Therefore I don't use any fluor in my toothpaste, fluor can damage this pineale gland.

Are you ready to jump off of a bridge onto a highway? I mean, do you know that you won't be pulled back up the moment before you hit the road and be run over? I admit that I don't know that it wouldn't happen, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't, luckily sure enough that I wouldn't try it.

For the same reason I don't need omniscience to deduce that I don't have a pineapple in my head.

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't really get the question.

Could you be a little more specific? I'm being serious. Not trying to be a jerk.

So the soul is "out there" and connected to "here". It get's info and makes a choice, which is always "bad". What makes the soul the way it is, why are souls different from one another, do the differences just "pop out of nothing" (as you guys often say about the Big Bang). I guess it's all deterministic but has free will. I might conclude with: How can God claim to be just if he made the universe so some people are "lucky" enough to believe and some not?
