First of all God IS all-knowing.
He created us to live on earth and live a good life, and in return the reward is heaven.
2nd of all-Jesus came down to die for our sins by sacrificing himself. Why would God just send Jesus down to die for us all, and then say "ok, now even if you kill someone you are coming to heaven". Please think a little on that ignorant question.
3rd-I believe he gave us the ability to sin because it is our CHOICE if we end up in heaven or hell. YOU are the only one to blame for living a bad life and sinning. If noone sinned-it would be heaven.
4th-BECAUSE THEY DID NOT LIVE A LIFE THAT SHOULD BE REWARDED.

exactly bud, exactly..........athiest who only think of GOD as the christian god are just as bad as thiest who think everyone is going to hell for not believe what they think

I myself believe in spirituality, i believe in a higher power but also understand that when we die it may go black...the thing is we dont know and wont know until it happens...ppl need to keep an open mind

What I don't understand is why people need to discuss religion...
Can't you just believe what you want, without having to be right; or without convincing others that what you believe is right?

I think about existance quite a lot, but don't feel the need to pretend I know the 'truth' and spread that truth.

Now that I think about it, evolution pretty much proves itself.
Religions are like genes, and individuals are the carriers. People try to spread their beliefs/genes and try to convince others to believe that they believe.

And just like the system of evolution describes, religions adapt to changing circumstances. At first, God was hiding above that huge dome with the stars painted on it. Now that we've actually been to space and concluded that nothing is there, religion has adapted and sometimes states that God must be hiding in dimensions we can't perceive. The original idea, that God is invisible and hidden; remains unchanged though.
