50 points for whoever identifies this stone...

I found a small stone at a waterway nearby where I live today, and I haven't identified what kind of stone it is. It has a very nice carving of a demon-like fish-face (or that is what I see), but based on how chiseled the sides are it must have been from a much larger piece. It reminds me of an ancient carving, so I put the thread in this forum because of it. Excuse the bad quality of the pictures, my webcam was horribly cheap.

      Good luck.

EDIT: I will try and get a much better quality photo soon, but at the moment I'm stuck with these blurry shots. I apologize.

It kind of looks like a face...or some kind of mayan stone.

Or maybe it's not a stone at all?

      Fucking awesome.

What area do you live in, DD?

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

I mean a walkway that goes alongside a rather large storm drain by a freeway. I don't live in any places that should have fragments of a Aztec sun disk regularly collect in such a location, so I assume that coincidence drew me to find the piece of the sun disk I have in my possession.

A relatively low-populated city in southern California that is surrounded by a few large cities. :3

Well, I am sure as hell going to keep myself updated on this one.

By far, Mothra (in all of it's forms) is the worst kaiju of all time.

Socal would have done just fine

The aztecs were the only people in that area making things like that, as far as I know.

I'm just gonna post this since DD did so in chat but didn't here.

That's a pretty awesome find, I must say.
