Of course the whole thing boils down to "Judeo Christian" values and bigotry. You know what I want to know? What the hell did that guy do to get arrested? I mean seriously, you don't get arrested for just going in a school and having a calm discussion. What sucks is this prop will probably pass. Another win for bigotry.

Who says it was a calm discussion? Him? Even if it was, if he was asked to leave the property say and didn't comply, there is just reason for his arrest.
This video is bull. There are so many logical fallacies it's not even funny. I got sick of hearing the sad music, soft voices and gentle sobbing in the background, trying to evoke nothing but an emotional or "sympathetic" response to the family.
How much of what was actually said in that video is true? What is and isn't out right fabrications and complete spin? The video is pathetic.

And that goes for the story as well as the video. This really strikes a nerve with me and is probably the only thing I would ever actually take the effort to go out and protest about (if I lived in California). It's amazing how vileness and ignorance can come so close to being the same thing. I keep trying to tell myself it's because they don't know any better and were raised to hate. And yes, I'm aware of how self-righteous that sounds, but sorry, this is purely ignorance motivated by fear of something different and religion.
Anyway, I liked the second video; they should make shirts that say: "Vote no on banninginterracialgay marriage"
I have friends who are voting yes on prop 8...they have been seduced by the argument that it's for the sake of the kids...otherwise they would not pass such a discriminatory proposition.
I've tried to convince them there's no threat to the little kids......it's like they want to be good people, they know deep inside we shouldn't deny to right to marry to homosexuals...but something "moral" in them is telling them it would be horrible if prop 8 didn't pass...it's hard to fight that.
...why not just propose a proposition that makes it illegal to teach homosexuality in schools?
I love the whole fear-angle. But it's pretty horrible that people can be manipulated to vote on such a theocratic thing. Even if it was bad for children, and there is no evidence it actually is, we don't forbid rappers to appear on tv up because of their 'bad influence' on kids. Anyhow, freedom is a nice theory, just doesn't go well with religion and the whole 'we decide what sin and evil are' lot.
Guys come on, if gay marriage was legal, next people will want to be marrying their slaves.
Wasn't it Huckabee who said marrying animals was going to come next if gay marriage became legal?

I do not want to encourage this, because I don't want my kids seeing anything related to gay's and lesbians. I am just not for it, plain and simple. I don't want my kids to see anything related to that because I don't want no influence on them.

You're kidding right? You do realize that banning gay marriage will not stop homosexuality, right?
Even if gay marriage becomes illegal, people will still be allowed to be gay, still be allowed to have gay sex and be allowed to live with a gay companion.
Also, why the hell would gay marriage or gay behaviour be an incentive for children to turn gay? I highly doubt you can give a good explanation for this one.

No I don't have proof, but it's obvious, if nature intended or 'natural select' then man on man would make humans and women on women will creat humans, but that's not the case. It's only Man and Women. Period.
