Ouija boards

My friend wanted to use a Ouija board at my house the other day. I told him "HELL NO" but he just laughed and said he used it a lot before and it was fun and nothing bad happened. I've heard lots of bad stories and don't want my place to be haunted, although I must admit there is a big part of me that is curious. I would not choose to do it at my home though... just wondering if anyone had any experiences to share? Of course, if I ever decided to do it, I would do it with the utmost care and respect to avoid any negative encounters. Still seems risky though.

I just can't believe a portal to the spirit world can be purchased for under $20 at a toy store.

Also some good reading there. I like to read it right before bed to freak myself out. Why I do that, I'm not quite sure...

Well one time on my friends fourteenth birthday party we tried one because she recieved it as a birthday gift. The only sources of light we had in the basement were the fact that it glows in the dark, and a strobe light. We asked if anyone wanted to talk to us a few times, and then all of a sudden the blinds fell right off the window and almost hit us. 4 people fell right on me screaming.

Maybe I have a few loose screws. But who are any of you to decide that anyway right? Just because you don't believe in it, doesn't mean it's not real. But ok whatever. If you don't believe it, draw one out right now on a piece of notebook paper and ask for a spirit to come. Maybe try to anger it.

I'll tell the ghost to kiss my white ass when I make it. Then I'll make fun of it for being dead while I'm alive.

Why should one need a piece of cardboard and plastic to summon a spirit if it's even possible? Further more, what's the spirit going to do to me? It's not like it can use it's non-existent physical hands to move something and bash my head to a bloody pulp. It will have to sit there and cry like a school girl.

lol! My favorite experience with a Ouija board was when my wife, Rakjavik, Captain Devious, and I were drinking and calling spirits and we tried to piss "it" off. We succeeded and the planchett (sp?) started spinning around the board extremely fast (obviously our hands were on it). Kind of creepy, but was pretty fun. But like Rak said, it's the ideomotor effect; there are no spirits hanging around waiting to be called by people.

So I guess that means we were pissing off ourselves???

Eh, I still like it more when we got demons named Ufag and Sega. I've never laughed at a demon so hard in my life. Funny he didn't possess me or anything for making fun of him.....

nooo, ougee boards are totaliez real dogz. they control yur ahndz, like one time, i did own, and i asked the spirit if it waz with me, its spelled RJGHKSLD, which, in an unkown language means, yes i am with you

That is believe they arn't portals to 'the spirit world'. Heck, if you were a spirit or ghost or whatever, would you even care about some kids with a piece of cardboard? It's complete nonsense.

They are just that, a piece of cardboard. I used to play on it all the time, we never used our fingers to move it, we hardly touched it. It was all our subconcsious or w/e. What we wanted to see is what we saw.

Ghosts just like porn. They just go into random houses (because 1/4 houses at any given time have someone masturbating to porn on the internet, or someone who will soon be masturbating to porn on the internet) and watch the screens, at least the ones who aren't advanced enough to effect physical mater yet. Just because you don't believe in my imaginary flying spaghetti monster doesn't mean it doesn't exist either.

I have tried to anger ouija's boards by swearing and spitting on them, nothing happens, why?

Do this:
- Have you and two friends use the ouija board blindfolded.
- Ask questions outloud.
- Ask another person, not using the ouija, to record answers without reading them outload.

You will find that it makes absolutely no sense.. That is, if you even manage to start moving and stay on the board.

Damn, good idea, all blablaboard intrested kids should try that sometime. It's a great do-it-yourself experiment, and it will clearly prove them that blablaboards don't work. Some kids are actually scared of these things, the poor things.
