i've read the church officials are skeptical that it is their Mary and I can see why. if it really is her, something would have been said, that or they would have to admit no one today can 'hear' her *meaning there is something wrong with the church or its followers*. Some church officials believe its the work of angels instead - whose appearance traditionally is encouraging but often silent

others are of course saying, aliens!!

its up in the air really. if it is a hoax, why?

It's obvious what happened. Jebus made an appearance and everyone started praying to Mary, so he got pissed and didn't deliver any message.


Seriously now, you talk as if there are "real" appearances of St. Mary to compare this one to. Care to give any examples?

I am comparing this supposed vision of the Lady, to other visions of the Lady held by the Catholic church. There are many, and they are called, Lady of - where ever she was seen. Like Lady of the Lake, or Lady of the Guadalupe.

Fatima is the most famous of Mary appearances and set the standard for what the church views as an authentic appearance. There. Is. Always. A. Message.

thats all I am saying. thats why church officials as far as I know it, don't agree with the followers that this is Mary - not until someone starts claiming they have a divine message that is. the general belief is, she comes when she has something to say. And she will say it clearly in spoken language as well.

the visions of the Lady are known for their clarity actually, not obscurity.

There is a figure sitting at the right tower wearing white, the flashes came from above, below and the sides. If they where camera flashes you would need a pretty big camera to lit up a whole church. I am not saying its real or fake because it remains unexplained, but dis believers don't frown upon the believers and vice versa.

i wish there was some picture of this giant orb above the building. Curious, i would have thought whoever filmed that would want to also film the source of the "miracle", if that orb is something incredibly holy i would have thought they'd want to capture it on film for themselves if anything, ah well.

And no, "People were too busy being religious" doesn't work. Surely they'd record it in good quality, so that other religious people could see it aswell.

Yeah, no kidding. Being too busy for the months it was supposed to be visible is just insane. If it were anything more than Criss Angel could whip up in a few hours, all the major networks would have pristine footage by now, and it would be all over the news.

I love how people get all riled up saying something is definite proof of something, then later say how unimportant it is that others believe... all that's important is that THEY know it's true.

Personally, I don't KNOW that it's not real, but I do know that no one has tried very hard to convince me otherwise. The Zapruder film was clearer than this thing, and that was taken 45 years ago on a tiny handheld camera.

Being from Portugal, the appearances from Fátima came up often during my Catholic education.

I find the whole thing interesting but the religious interpretations and conclusions are rather silly.

Ahh unfortunately, my prolonged residence in the UK has left me with a really broken knowledge of Portuguese, so I can't really be called a Portuguese speaker. Annoying really, but hey, when you live so many years in another country and no one speaks to you in your native tongue, it is kinda hard to be able to maintain your ability to speak your native tongue.

A shame really

So then, where are the high quality videos at? Why aren't they being openly shared?

I have yet to understand why people insist on witholding knowledge. I guess playing games is more fun? That doesn't help the public discourse at all, though.
