Ha. I hope at least the doctors in that area aren't taking this seriously. It's obvious to everyone else how this happened. |

If she can manipulate them, they should wait on the surgery until she can decide for herself. It doesn't sound like its an immediate emergency and I have to say, I think I would at least like the choice to keep 4 extra limbs. Maybe she'll become a woman-spider superhero. Or maybe she really is a reincarnation of Vishnu and she'll be pissed once she becomes enlightened and realizes someone lopped off half the body she's used to having. |

I doubt she can manipulate them. I don't think I've ever heard of a case like that where the person could... I mean technically those arms aren't hers at all. The extra limbs are probably also getting in the way of normal development of the rest of her body. But I guess they should all be extra nice to her just in case. |
|
If you read the article, she can't walk or crawl and doctors predict she wouldn't live through her teens without surgery. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
There you go... I can now say I am wrong. Take that Christianity! Looks like the Hindus were right after all! |

It's a parasitic twin-- The arms aren't hers. |

Doesn't necessarily mean she can't manipulate them. Obviously the extra shit is hooked in through her circulatory and nervous systems, otherwise they would have just died off. The doctors say she can't walk or crawl but it may be because it takes just a little more time to figure out how to actually use shit she wouldn't normally have. |

So she's definitley getting them removed? |
|
Yes, instead of hoping she's a reincarnated goddess or an indian female spiderman, they're going to have them removed like a rational person would. She'll die otherwise and if she can't walk period, even with her limbs with the twin there, then obviously it needs to come off as soon as possible. And thats what they're going to do. |

Survive in poverty stricken India? Well I don't know. I guess I wouldn't want to "die" but you know I would be getting the fuck out of there. |

And seen similar things on television, the internet, and in books, and it sort of makes me think back on what I learned about the Hinduism, and the paintings of the Gods Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, etc. It may be possible that they were people who actually existed in ancient times but, instead of looked down upon, feared, or thought of as demonic creatures (in which some religions will revere persons with deformities as...), they were viewed as people with extraordinary abilities, or Deities. I dunno, over the years those have just been my thoughts on this subject. Anyone else here ever had any similar thoughts? Or am I all alone here? |

In the OT there is a verse that says how Yaweh wouldn't go over a mountian because the people there had Iron Chariots. |
|
They say she's a hindu god reincarnation while ignoring the fact her extra(useless) limbs will bring her suffering and eventual death? I shouldn't say anything about their beliefs. Let them believe... |
|
What? For real? So much for infinite power. I had no idea God was supposed to ever once have been scared of any people. If you can find that Bible verse, I will post you a gold star. I thought the verse condoning killing slaves might be the verse that takes the cake, but I think you might have brought up a big contender. |
