Bigoted replies????? Spirit is an ignorant, pompous, belittling jerk-off. This is based off his other posts. Why should I suddenly be nice to him and say "ahh, he's apologizing for other people, what a nice sincere guy". Sorry, isn't going to happen. I still think he's a full-of-himself jerk. It has nothing to do with him being a Christian; there are many many Christians I respect just as much as atheists. If 27 or one of the other reasonable and overall nice religious guys on this forum that isn't stuck up their own ass made this EXACT same post I would have responded much the same way as Universal or you [Maestro]. I think that the others who responded similar to myself would agree with me here (not sure about Seis though

Well, I haven't been here long, so I don't know how he usually acts. Either way, it's an apology, we should at least give him the benefit of the doubt. If he falls from his promise, then we can call him a hypocrite and all other imaginative names we can come up with.

But he is a hypocrite. He says he's not here to preach, then in the last sentence tells us that salvation can only come through Jesus Christ. You can't have it both ways, and he couldn't help himself.

I appreciate the idea behind the apology, but it really isn't his to make. And posting bad science to back up your false claims doesn't help your case either.

We all need to just forgive and forget. If you don't forgive, at least forget it. You guys keep repeating the same stuff over and over again for no reason. Let those who believe believe and those who don't believe continue not believing. Im a Christian as well and I believe that Im as low as all humans no matter what they believe or what their religion is; atheist, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, etc... IT DOESN'T MATTER. Christianity might have many violent events happen because of it, but isn't all of the human race violent ( many people are good and do not plan on doing anything very wrong in there lifetimes even though certain events might lead them into doing something wrong, but many people are bad and would do anything to hurt a person physically, mentally, etc.). Like SpiritoftheWolf said we are all alike whether we like it or not. Also what SpiritoftheWolf said we all can be hypocrites at times(he even admitted that he can be at times...so can I) so lets stop calling each other hypocrites....
