      Quakers/Religious Humanists

Any out there? Quakerism Seems to suit me the best with religions. I feel that to truly live life one must find out things for themselves. The only thing with Quakerism I'm not good with is plainness. I don't exactly dress conservatively.

Anyway, are there any Quakers on DV?

      Religious Humanists?

Can you sum up (in your own words, no link to wikipedia or something) what a quaker is? I'm not familiar with that, although one of my best friends identifies as one.

I think this is equivalent to looking for Amish friends on the internet.

Theres a difference between being Quaker and being Amish. Though a lot of people that are Amish are also Quakers because it fits well with their lifestyle.

Quakerism focuses more on your personal journey with God. It's you and God, not hearing about God from a pastor. Their services are different too, they don't (always) have huge services in a big building, a lot of services are either in someones house or just outside in a circle.

Its hard to put a definite definition on Quakerism though, because it can differ person to person.

Eh, from what I heard not so much. I don't really believe that much of the Bible though. Theres a lot of things I have a hard time with.

Not to mention, I go to a southern baptist church (not my choice). Hopefully when I get my car soon that will change though.
