This smells like DODGE to me!

Sorry, I'm English, I don't know what you mean? Slang isn't my strong point
That wasn't slang and you know damn well what I meant.
I can see vaguely, but what do you really, specifically mean?
You are obviously dodging everyone and q in this thread. Including that.
No I am not, the guy made one post, that I saw, and I replied to it in a very long detailed post. Go and see.
Western religion in its present forms has one more generation left, I predict. People are having a harder and harder time rationalizing that it makes any sense. However, I do agree that there is a mechanism in human neurology that makes most people genetically predisposed to being religious. That is why I think religions concerning mind expansion and spirit in nature are going to become huge in upcoming decades. Buddhism and Taoism type religions are going to replace the present ones. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam will be seen as pure mythology by pretty much everybody a century from now. Too much is being figured out about the universe and Earth's history for those religions to stand much longer in the West. Now that the Middle East is being liberated and education is going to start flourishing there, Islam is probably on its way out there too, but it will probably take a lot longer there than it will here for that style of religion to go away.
I don't think that Christians, Muslims and Jews will just relinquish their religion because of logic.
Taoism and Buddhism, are they superstitious religions? I don't know.
"Now that the Middle East is being liberated" Are you calling the shambles in Iraq and the War in Afghanistan liberation? The Islamic world is much larger than that!
They will lose such high numbers that they no longer have much power, at which point they quickly lose the rest of their numbers. There will be a few fossils left walking around, but those religions will cease to be major world religions.
No. At least not in their original/pure forms.
I am talking about the greatly increased safety, the voting rights that are being used in higher percentages than ours, the major increase in education, and the connection between citizen choice and the government in Afghanistan and Iraq, and I think the influence in those countries is going to spread over time, especially when their governments are strong enough to take down surrounding governments themselves.
If you want to argue with me about that part of the conversation, find a thread about it in Extended Discussion. There are about thirty of them now.

Yeah, in america where they have power, they don't have any here, well the Christians at least.

Which means that they may not be covered by the genetic religion thing that I posted.

Which of the thirty bomb plots predicted by the intelligence forces here leads you to that conclusion! And the 2005 July bombs weren't on that list.

It's a proven fact that most teens don't give a shit.
Teens are the next generation.
Of course, The Mid-east and central Asia doesn't really count. "Is the teens not giving a shit a religion thing or a general apathy thing.
The Mid-east and central asia do really count. They are the places to be, they have all the oil, and they will be come the financial leaders in the next generations.
I am talking about Matthew Alper's idea of "the God part of the brain". His theory does not concern superstitious brain tendencies. It involves the concept of a religiously emotional brain tendency.
None of them. I am talking about the future that will have resulted from liberty, not the present hysteria. Now please go read what I have already written about this specific topic in Extended Discussion. I don't want to go through the ten mile long conversation yet again. I have already written sets of encyclopedias worth of it on this site, and it is just the same points over and over and over. If you want to know what I think about the common issues people raise, such as the ones you have raised, what I have to say is already posted. Thank you.
P.S.- You can make other people's quotes clearly distinguished from your own words by hitting "quote", deleting the words you don't want to quote, and then writing what you have to say under what is quoted. If you want to use multiple quotes and your responses to each, you can use "cut" and "paste". It took me a long time to get that right.
Thanks for the advice.
You stink, basically.
Oh the pun!
Actually, you don't even need to cut and paste. If you hit the "++Quote" button next to each post you want to quote, they'll all be there when you hit "add reply" or "+Quote".
No way! Good grief, I learn something that makes me go, "Duh," every day about computer use. You may have noticed that I never post in the tech forum. It is one of my areas of retardation.
Maybe I should try to learn how religious people in the R/S forum feel by going to the tech forum and starting heated arguments. :chuckle: If they challenge what I say, I can start fifty threads about how they are persecuting me.
Oh snap!
Pans, ho!
