I'm not going to even attempt to speak for "Christianity" or any particular brand or flavor of religion. I can, however, speak as a Christian man.

Our bodies and brains are designed for an all important task - survival. That consists of two key elements, of course: keeping ourselves alive and reproducing. Is it any surprise that one of our strongest physical drives is sexual?

Unless you are a married man who is seriously entertaining adulterous thoughts, I do not believe that our sexual drive is a sinful thing at all. Can it be USED in a corrupt manner? Of course. The drive itself, however, is of the Creator. It is not our choice; it is part of who we are. A precious few may be called to deny that aspect of their humanity in order to serve God in some special way, but unless you believe you are called to be one of those your sexual drive is normal and proper, and it serves an important purpose.

It sounds suspiciously like you are condemning yourself for being normal. Does God condemn you for that? I doubt it.

Like anger, hunger, sorrow and all the other things we experience as humans, the question is never whether we experience these things. What counts is what we DO with them. Do we use our anger to harm others or as motivation to change things for the better? Do our sexual urges lead us to a healthy sexual relationship with somebody we find desirable or into actions that violate and desecrate ourselves and others?

We need to learn to accept ourselves for what we are created to be rather than looking at creation itself as wrong. That was a lesson that took me many years to grasp.

Again... I do not speak as anything more than a fellow human who follows the Way of Christ. This matter remains between you and God foremost and always.

although you may feel dirty looking at pornographic material, if you are not married you are not breaking any commitment to your partner. Also is it not better for you to satisfy your sexual desires by looking at pornography then for you to go and rape a women?

Slightly confused as to where you draw a boundary here. Both are lusts of the flesh, and yet you don't seem to have the moral problem with lucid sex that you do with pornography.

In terms of advice, what pj said is excellent. All drives and urges can be used negatively, but that doesn't make them entirely bad things.

pj makes a good point but what am I supposed to do then... It is written that if we even look at a women lustfully we commit adultary in our own heart. I understand its natural but to pj and other christians porno cant be really accepted to look at. Its immoral. But I dont get what other way do we sattisfied our lust without displeasing God. Im only 17 and not gonna end up marrying any time soon. Also I dont think lucid sex is any diff... that post of mine was a moment of weakness. Idk what to do....

I think the only real issue is your attitude to Christianity. Obviously how you believe is up to you, but asking yourself how you can believe in a tolerant, forgiving, all-loving and all-understanding God and at the same time fear righteous punishment for following a basic human urge that does no harm to anyone might help.
Your average Christian probably wouldn't see it as an issue.

I believe that our life should consist of happy mediums. That excludes things we feel deep down that are totally wrong or illegal. But it is true, lust is something that exists, it is there. The law of attraction.
What you have to be weary of is perversion. I know this line is vague and subjective. But you can only decide through your own actions and feelings and the guidance of your teachings to help you decide what is right and wrong. I think most level headed people do know what is pushing the line between moral and immoral.

The way out is "effortless, not in the effort of indulgence, nor in the effort of resistance.

Effort is what is physical, so look to the non physical for the way out, for such is also the way in.

There was Jesus the man and Christ the Consciousness. Both really aspects of one consciousness. Such is the same for everyone else, one part the human consciousness, the other part "divine' consciousness. The human finds himself cut off from the divine through a natural set of circumstances.

Like in dreams, the "divine" aspect has things to say to the human aspect in physical reality as well. The problems you face now are not of physical cause, they just manifest as such. The root cause is internal, with this relationship between the human aspect and the divinde aspect.
Everything that occurs in ones life has a metaphorical connotation relating back to this internal relation ship.

Intimmacy, or the lack of, of one sorts or another could be the root cause of what you are dealing with. At least in my experience sex in the physical sense traces back to intimacy in the non physical sense.

Do you lack intimacy in your life in one respect or another? even if it is with or wthin your own internal self?

Well, masturbation is normal, period. 99.9% of males do it, and I have no idea how many females, but I would think around 80%-90%. There is no way a loving god would give us this urge and not expect us to release it, and better to not release it in a female every time especially at the age you are at or younger when the sex drive starts to hit. Men are excited visually, most of us have to have something to think about. What is the difference whether you picture it in your head or actually see a picture or movie of it? Also, the female body is a natural, beautiful thing, why feel guilty getting off on it? Now you can take the meaning of the bible in different ways, when it talks about lusting after another woman, it could mean actually pursuing her as opposed to just thinking about her without clothes on.

The fact of the matter is, if you beat yourself over the head every time you released your natural sex drive you will be miserable for most of your teenagerhood, trust me, I was. Watch Kinsey and you can see the damage it can do to people to demonize masturbation and nudity.

And as far as being married and looking at porn, I'm married and my wife and I talked about this and we agreed that if the other one isn't there then we didn't care if the other masturbated, whether to porn or not to porn.

BTW, sorry I'm not a fellow brother in christ, but I was when I was your age so I know how you're feeling right now.

My advice is that you should become an atheist and start watching Shay Laren strip videos. It's what I ended up doing. But maybe I am not somebody whose advice you want to take. I think lust of the flesh is completely unavoidable. COMPLETELY... unless you have your brain or your testicles removed.

Your problem is one of the things that really bothers me about Christianity. What an unrealistic expectation you have on yourself because of what Christianity teaches.

thank you all who helped, especially those not of the body of Christ. Also thanks for focusing on the topic and not trying to start some religous war over each other views. I understand and do agree God gave us these urges but every time I feel Im doing something wrong because these urges were given when we are with our future partners I think. Another thing is I go all out though... changed the music I listen to, that of worship. I talk to God and pray on a daily basis. so when I give in I feel like crap.

That's another thing that bothers me. So many Christians feel the need to listen to "worship" music because they think all other music is humanistic and unholy. You don't truly love the way that music sounds, do you? Do you ever play "Our God Is an Awesome God" or "Shout to the Lord" eight times in a row because they sound so good? Does the music of Michael W. Smith blow you away with greatness?

I take your position seriously partly because I used to be in it. I remember when I first started having strong sexual urges and thinking I was doing something terrible by doing something about them. I begged for forgiveness after every time I masturbated and vowed to myself that I would never do it again. I had a major mental conflict over the fact that I absolutely loved the way heavy metal sounded and kept planning to listen to nothing but Petra and Whiteheart type music. To be honest, the fact that I went through that stuff really infuriates me now. I don't want to argue with you or ridicule you, but I will tell you what I think is the truth. There is no man in the sky getting upset if you masturbate to naked pictures or listen to good rock and roll. My view is that you are all worked up over a judgmental and demanding being that does not exist. That is what I think. Good luck to you.

thats fine universal mind. I want to note the reason I changed my taste of music. The reason isnt because I HAVE to or its needed. I did because... for me before my conversion I felt unhappy.. and no not really like real but I always felt incomplete and gloomy but after I felt happy and exp. life for the first time... its kinda like your first vivid LD, everything was clear... thats how it feels, well for me. I started listening to christian music because of the meaning.

Also yes, even for me, listening to only awesome God 8 times is Good. acctually Hillsong's Awesome God is my fav. song. Why because the meaning is true and has a deep meaning that i hold close to my heart. Thanks for respecting my opion.
