I figured it had been brought up here before but that was the first time I had seen it. That was a good laugh, and I didn't finish reading it so I can enjoy it again later.

As a whole, good thing I've never believed the Bible is the word of God. Even without the obvious difficulties regarding content, the fact that it was written by many (human) authors over many years (often 100s of years after the event it details) and then rewritten many times... kind of makes holy authorship impossible to even suggest.

Not to mention edited by clergy to satisfy the dogma of the day. And not to forget the fact that thousands of books where cherry-picked to best suit the church's agenda at the time.

Hell, if I write a book about the Hoover Dam, I can rightly claim it was "inspired by" the Hoover Dam. So, "inspired by" doesn't mean (or even imply) "dictated by", "partially authored by", "written under the guidance or direction of" or even "actually about". It simply means that the story of the Hoover Dam is partly what led me to write said book.
