This disgrace to civilisation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! Do you mean as in, a Creator not aiding in the birth of existence or simply the mindless 'creation of instant humans sprouting from the ground'? |

Are you talking about Young Earth Creationism? Because if you aren't, you my friend are the one who needs to pull your head out of your ass. Really you do either way. Can this be moved to senseless banter? |

I think it all began when humans found out how superior they were to everything else. Then they thought that if they are so smart and awesome, something as smart as awesome, but much more powerful must have made them. They couldn't comprehend that there is something incomprehensible out there. And it hasn't changed... |

I would say that this clearly belongs in the Religion forum, except it looks like the initial post is 100% flame incitement and not a serious debate point. I am extremely opinionated with my belief that creationism is false and blatantly contradicts scientific knowledge, but a two short sentences flame post is not going to even begin to illustrate why. |
|
You are dreaming right now.
Well, since we're already flaming anyway, I might as well say that creationism is bullshit. |

Which two sentences? Mine or yours? |

"If there was one thing the lucid dreaming ninja writer could not stand, it was used car salesmen."
Woes, what made you think I was talking about you? I was talking about the intial post that got this thread going, and the rest of my post illustrated that. I said that I too disagree with creationism but that I don't think my view could be well argued by a two sentence flame post. You don't disagree with creationism, if I remember correctly, so it would make no sense for me to critique your way of illustrating disagreement with creationism. What I said had nothing to do with you. The two sentences are, "Creationists- pull your head out of your ass... seriously," and, "Discuss." You also overlooked where I said this... |

Yes it was rude. Yes I was being lazy. |

I have to agree that creationism is one of the most illogical ideas I've ever heard, and the symbols are so freaking obvious a child could interpret the meaning of genesis. These people that think its really are less logically evolved than children as far as I know. I'm very open to evidence of the theory, though. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
I agree with you wer, but that's no way to go about it. a lot of christians are stubborn and you being stubborn too will just make it worse. you are just as wrong as they are. the whole problem isn't who believes what, it's the attitudes people have about what they believe that's the problem. we don't fucking know what happened and we can't fucking know, so let's stop pretending we do and have nice, intellectual discussions about it over tea. man that sounds like fun, I do enjoy philosophical conversations. and tea. |

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
So I guess we've moved passed the point of trying to learn why people believe what they believe straight to just flaming them for the belief in the initial post. |

Creating a thread just to flame. |

Only flamers engage in flaming. |

Creationists believe in God, so IF there is a God, then creation is possible in 6 days. |
