Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
I'm still confused about your description of non-duality. I think perhaps I have experienced this before? |

It is often inaccurately described as ego death (a temporary sensation often experienced on hallucinogenic drugs). You get a much more intense version on salvia, but experiencing everything as being one does not require a loss of the self. Your awareness see's your self as one aspect of a gestalt, and lose separation between your perception and what it perceives. In fact, the objects being perceived are the perception. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
So then it's like the last scene of Herman Hesse's novel Siddhartha where the protagonist sees all the fish in the river as wearing the same face -- the face of the Buddha. Or am I wrong again? |

No that's about right, or at least it's a facet. |

The words simply do not do justice to the "taste" |
