Why does no one try to disprove Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, or any other religion and only Christianity?
Well, because you don't see many of those on this forum...
And secondly because in proving the concept of an omnipotent, omniscient God wrong in Chrisntianty, both of the other Abrahamic religions are proved wrong.

well yes one reason is because the majority of religious forum goers are Christians. Another reason is that since most of us here are in the western world, it is Christianity that is the main religion and so the most discussed. I think many of the arguments against Christianity and God can be used against most religions though. Obviously debates about Jesus more apply to Christianity, but he is present in the other religions to some extent.
Personally for me it is because most religious people i know are Christian, since i am atheist it is those people that i try and reason with, so i'll reason with Christians on this forum too. Really i don't get angry, i just tell them that i believe God is a human fantasy because we all fear death to some extent and since humans always want to answer everything, using God to answer all unknowns is very handy.
If they don't agree i'll drop it. Unless they start insulting me and constantly bugging me with "But you'll go to hell". I mean if i joined Christianity now just to saved from Hell, then i'd deserve to go since i was only paying lip service to save my own skin.
Most opportunity for lulz.
Substitute the god of your choice; the arguments apply to them all.
I've been accosted in the airport and at street corners a few times, but nor for a while--are there still Hare Krishnas and Moonies around? Well, it applies to them too.
Oh, recently I had some what you call 'ems, I think Jehovah's Witnesses, come to the door while I was in bed (not alone, not sleeping)...boy was I pissed. That's a good enough reason right there. Those Mormons can be annoying too.
The Moonies and Hares have pretty much been shoved out of view by the LDSs and Pentecostals. The JWs are the ones that used to always knock on my door in my old neighborhood, but haven't found me since I moved three years ago.
Basically, all I really look for in a religion is that they leave me alone, and let me go to hell in peace.
While there are a lot of threads started here that are attempting to disprove it, the truth is, for the most part, atheists, and especially agnostics, aren't trying to disprove anything. They'd simply like it if the various religions (and in north america, that mostly means christianity) would stop doing two things:
1) Pestering them to convert
2) Trying to force their views on others indirectly by denying that church and state should be separate.
That is all. I agree though, the battle should be fought where it belongs: Instead of trying to disprove this and point out contradictions on that, we should instead unite and fight for separation of church and state.
Some of us had a very long debate with a Muslim named Tarek a few months ago. There are two threads in this forum where Tarek debated several atheists. I debated Dodobird, a Jew, for a little bit in this forum not too long ago. I wish there were more people of non-Christian religions to debate here, but there aren't. Also, I have a special interest in debating Christians because I used to be one and Christianity is the dominant religion in my country, and I live in the most Christian region of it, the Bible Belt. But if you know people of other religions who would like to discuss or debate religion, tell them to come on over.
Somebody, please, tell me, WHY do people come to your door and try to convert you? WHY do people scream at students in the middle of a college campus, holding up grotesque pictures of dead babies?
I just want to know why.
so my friends dog isn't waiting for him in heaven? Poor guy, he seems to think his dog has gone to heaven, i did try and tell him that according to his religion animals don't have souls, but meh, if it makes him happy thinking that then all is well, when he dies it is the end so he wont know he was wrong at least.:)
Ideally, they are not necessarily trying to convert; just give knowledge. I realize that most evangelists fall short of this ideal, but this is only natural. Even if you operate under the assumption that their god is infallible (which I assume you don't), The followers of that god are still human and therefore will make mistakes.
Why do Atheists only try to prove Christianity wrong?
Because it is nice to wander among others who are not blinded by ignorance.
Oh two Jehovah's Witnesses ladies came to my door just as I was coming into the house from shopping groceries, and my cats hopped all around, happy to see me.
Well, the older lady asked: Do you beleive in God?
Me: No, not really
Lady, looking at my cats: Don't you think that there is something more to people than there is to these cats?
Me: No, not really
Lady: Are you happy?
Me: Yea, sure!
Then they went away, looking disappointed ( but they did leave a pamphlet ) :p
Christianity is the largest religion in the world, no matter what people say. So it is easier to Argue that, then break it apart in the tiny "wannabe" religions. Thus there are more christians to argue with ;).
<oops>
