or you might actually know God
Yes but then that would be unknowable because you would not know that you know god because god could be fake and could be caused by unknowable thing like mental illnesses or ignorance. You will truly never know anything if you think you do that just ignorance or mental illnesses because their always the unknowable.Quote:
or you might actually know God [/b]
It pointless and your belife in god is ignorance.Quote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable.[/b]
but you beleive Socrates?
[edit] So you know that God is a falacy? isn't that contradicting what you said earlier?
I dont know it unknowable if he is correct that the point how can i. Plus if i believe someone who believed nothing then i would believe nothing i believe nothing so should i believe him NO but have to it a paradox but isnt just a shadow of the fact that it unknowable so it doesnt matter.Quote:

NO i didnt say god was a falacy i said he unknowable theirfore you should not believe in god because you never know because of the unknowable like mental illness or ignorance all i said is you can say is you know nothing and even e.t.c. The point is your never know
Quote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable.[/b]
so why do you say God is unknowable, and why do you say Religion is a mentil illness?
See you never going to know if their is a god because a rational person would consider the possibillity that he is not rational or even worse a ignorant person cant see he ignorant theirfore he will never know if what he see is the truth. If someone say they believes in god then their the possibllity that the person is mentally ill now if your mental illness means that you dont know your mentally ill and a side effect is that you believe in god then how do you truly know theirs a god. The point is by saying their a god then your being ignorant to the fact that their are things that are unknowableQuote:
so why do you say God is unknowable, and why do you say Religion is a mentil illness? [/b]
and that the unknowable thing could prove that god doesnt exsist or that religion or belife in god is mental illness.Quote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable.[/b]
so you know that it is irrational?
All i know is that i know nothing e.t.c.Quote:
so you know that it is irrational? [/b]
Their is always going to be unknown like you could have a mental illness or your ignorant e.t.c.
even this is unknowable however i can know of my ignoranceQuote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable.[/b]
However that mean i can only know of nothingQuote:
I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance.
Socrates[/b]
Quote:
I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.
Socrates [/b]
so God could be knowable?
nothing can be truly knowable because their might be unknowable unknowable e.t.cQuote:
so God could be knowable? [/b]
but how do you know that?
this is pointless all i can say is that you belife in god is ignorance or mental illness because their always going to be the unknowable like you being ignorant e.t.c.Quote:
but how do you know that? [/b]
Yes these will be unknowable infinite or infinetly but still they might exsist so their alway going to be the chance you wrong or right it would be just ignorance to say the other one impossible because some unknowable thing could prove you wrong like you could be ignorant or not but your still ignorant to the fact that you might be wrong e.t.c. You our still ignorant to the unknowable.Quote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable.[/b]
wich of course, you know, dispite saying you know nothing
to make the statment you have made, you would have to know
if you know, then your statment you know nothing nothing is false, as you would know something
is my reasoning flawed?
I dont know and for me to say i know something would be ignorance however i know i know nothing e.t.c. and i know you know nothing because to say you know something is ignorance even this is unknown. However it might be unknowable you never know if your ignorant or sane and i never know if i know something all i can says is to say you know something is ignorance because of the unknowable like you having a mental illness or ignorant and that could be why you believe in god. The point is your never know because of the unknowable.Quote:

Plus the unknowable might prove you wrong but you wont know.

you've lost me
you keep contradicting yourself. Either you know something, or you dont. You say you dont
you then say that you do, and it is that "Everyone is ignorent"
Do you understand what I am saying?
I am trying to say their are unknowableQuote:
you've lost me

and that because their are unknowable then you cant say their is a definate or put it this way truth. You cant reason that their is a absolute truth because of the fact their are thing that our unknowable and these may prove that the assumption of the absolute is false. So you can not truly know if something exsist because their are unknowables and to say that god exsist is ignorance because their might be a unknowable that say god doesnt exsist and that might be true.Quote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable.[/b]
why do you say absolute truth is unknowable?
Because how would you tell if it actually absolute truth and not that your crazy or ignorant or stupid e.t.c. See how would you know the truth is the truth because woudlnt a rational person consider their could be unknownsQuote:
why do you say absolute truth is unknowable? [/b]
that could say this is not absolute truth.Quote:
this statement is false when proven true. see it always going to be true but it always going to be unknowable[/b]
so the knowledge that Truth is unknowable is NOT a absolute Truth?
So it could be worng?
It seems like your argument is contradicting itself
It undecidable see mathematician wanted to produce the ultimate system of mathmatics of arithmatical however what they found out is that you can get think that are unknowable or undecided. See their might be a absolute truth but then saying that it knowable is incorrect because their could be unknowable thing that say it wrong. Yes it could be wrong but the point is it unknowable or undecided you can never know truth because their might be a unknowable that says that the truth you discovered is wrong. I can not say if this is correct however i can say that your ignorant to the fact their our unknowable things and these thing could prove you wrong.Quote:

This is one of your more telling posts, Keeper. There is a mindset here that leads to much unnecessary conflict. You put forth a notion that only one of these books can be true, and all the others are wrong. In fact, your posts carry the notion that one of these books is complete truth, and the other books are complete untruth. Is that what you believe? Or do you believe that it is possible that there is some truth in each of the books?
I really look forward to your response to this.
Well Keeper is ignorant and it show in his belifes.Quote:

if the Qu'ran is true, then so is the Bible
it litterally says "if you follow the ways of the people of the book, then you are favoured by Allah"
People of the Book = Christians and Jews
now, either there is a Goid, or there isn't. It is as simple as that
the Origin of Spieces is the "holy book" of those who dont beleive in a spiritual God, and those who beleive in mans deivinity
the others, barring Budda, are For God. I know I didn't list all the holy books, but you know what I ment
so, it litterally is either one of the other
It is tempting to respond to everything in your post, but I am more interested in meaningful responses to one or two things.
I see from your response that you believe it is possible for more than one book to be true, i.e. the Koran and Bible could both be true. But you still seem to be carrying a particularly troublesome mindset: that a book has to be completely true, or completely untrue. Is this what you believe, or do you believe it is possible for a book to contain some truth and some untruth? By the way, "untruth" does not necessarily mean "lies". Sometimes, untruth is just plain misunderstanding.
