I noticed something today...

I've noticed something over the course of posting in this section...

Many people who have posted here seem to be completely inept at having a debate. I see claims thrown all over the place, and all too many times very little (or worse -- nothing at all), is said to support it. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not just singling out the theists here, either. I've seen it come from people of all flavors, be they atheists, agnostics, theists, or anything in between. If you're doing it right, you should spend one or two sentences making your claim, and the rest of the paragraphs supporting it with reasons and evidence.

So next time you try to convince someone that your idea of 'how it all is' is absolutely true, try to at least take a minute to explain to us why, instead of just typing in caps and using a lot of exclamation points. Then again, if you're under the assumption that your belief is absolutely and indisputably true, you're not being the least bit scientific anyway so it's probably best not to bother posting at all.

I agree with that statement a lot. I wish people would make themselves intellegible and coherant to others. Just because someone does not agree with you doesn't make anyone right or wrong, particularly in the religious forum. Plus, a lot of people are just saying stuff without backing it up. Not doing that makes your argument invalid. At least give reasons why you agree or disagree with something. Or why you think something is right or wrong.

Haha, thanks. I don't think any of the people who really need to see it would bother reading it anyway, but it just needed to be said.
