Mark75, I know, I read the article. Although my response is to the study, I also addressed what may be a common practice among those who pray. I don't think the point of prayer should be to ask for requests, whether it is for yourself or someone else. Prayer should be an expression of a mode of being. It is closer to zazen than a request service. |

Oohhumm
I dont believe prayer helps in any way anyway, but that is jsut my view and I dont think this can be called truthful as it was done by a single religon in my view it would be better done by an aethiest |

Life dreams and pain are all of the same thing in one way or another they are all unreal as they are existant they define the way you see things something very few can figure out
i don't see prayer healing as divine intervention. it's more like psychic healing. if you are REALLY praying as if though you believe that what you are doing will work, you're directing a lot of energy towards the target. granted, there's absolutely no empirical evidence...it's a see-to-believe kind of deal. |

If anything, prayer's a decent placebo for those with a religious background. It's that simple; I wouldn't say that prayer doesn't work in healing altogether. In the case of prayer for other people, it's like sending out a vibe or good wishes. It may or may not work. |
