Official policy on religious discussion
This is an excerpt from the new Rules & Regulations; unless otherwise stated, 'forum' and 'message board' refers to the entire message board here, and not the 'Religion/Spirituality' forum. I just want to make sure everyone here is familiar with our policy.
For crying out loud, this is *not* a religious discussion message board.
The primary purpose of this forum is for the dissemination of lucid dreaming information. I understand that to many people there is a great deal of spirituality associated with lucid dreaming, but I remind you of the 'Introduction' page on the main site which states clearly that this site stresses the practical side of lucid dreaming. We have created a special forum called 'Religion/Spirituality' which we expect to house *all* religious discussions on this board (we do of course permit topics elsewhere to lightly touch on religious topics because it's impossible to completely separate them, but anything remotely significant belongs only in the 'Religion/Spirituality' forum). Furthermore, users who participate only in the religious forum and not the rest of the board will be asked to leave because they don't seem to understand why this board exists. Seriously, I'm not paying for this place to have it turn into endless debates about religions.
Users who consistently fail to abide by our policy in regards to the discussing of religious material will be banned. Also, they increase the likelihood of us banning all religious discussion from the entire board and removing the 'Religion/Spirituality' forum.
Finally, the 'Religion/Spirituality' forum is left essentially unmoderated because frankly we've grown tired of policing the endless fights. We will, however, look out for abusive users and remove them from the board.
