I stopped watching after listening to the idiotic rhetoric at the beginning that was akin to Pascal's Wager (and that shit about letting people into one's house - would I let a stranger into my house? It depends... a friend of mine owns a nursing home, and so his business is letting people in... that sounds more analogous to heaven/god's house to me).

Hell porn! Seriously, this is porn for fundies. Anyway, this is interesting. Obviously, this man had a SP episode and his analysis was slightly biased. But, I'm thinking that perhaps the original descriptions of hell were also based on SP hallucinations of the people who wrote/told the scriptures?

I stopped in like the five minute. In the first few minute I saw the following problems. 1. Our government isn't mean for making prisons but they are mean for throwing people into prison over victimless crimes. Just like how god would be mean if he threw people into hell for victimless sins. Most of the sins are bad, but some of the stuff people bring up as sins really are not harmful to anyone. 2. God does actually expect you to allow strangers into your house. If a person is outside freezing to death, you have a moral obligation to allow them to enter your house so they don't die. If a person is starving you have a moral obligation to allow them into your house and feed them. The same applies to god. Which is why I believe if there is a god, he will allow all good people into heaven, regardless of if they actually go to church or worship him or not. Because the process of being a good person, is also the process of accepting goodness into your heart. And accepting goodness is the same as accepting god. 3. The world isn't fair. The world needs to balance out, and needs to be fair, isn't a valid argument for anything. 4. His wife is like a puppet. That just annoys me slightly that she doesn't do anything but stand there quietly agreeing with him. Doesn't she have an opinion? I thought it was both their book. That just bugs me.

So he repeats the ten commandments and the moral code we should live by a few times. He says that we are a.) sinners by nature and b.) even one lie will cast us into hell. He also repeatedly states that no man can or is meant to bear the punishment of hell, so the point of Jesus is to let him do the punishment for us. So as I understand, all that needs to be done is accepting Jesus to take the punishment for you. So two conclusions I can draw from this: Either everybody is going to hell. Or you are allowed to sin as much as you want, as long as you accept that Jesus will be judged for your sins, thus providing you with a "pass". right... This guy seriously seems like he is coming right out of a South Park episode. Especially after he gave his testimony and explains the 'ways of the lord', he repeatedly says, in this really whiny and wimpy voice "isn't god awesome that he does that? praise the lord, hehe, praise the lord." What a parody. So the presentation summarized in one carlin quote: "And the invisible man has a list of ten things he does not want you to do. Because most of what he's saying is not even remotely supported by scripture. That's what I thought throughout.. I am very bad with any references to these scriptures, but I have read that there is remarkably little said about hell in the bible and almost nothing descriptive. Yet he blurts out specific lines at the end of every sentence.. so.. is he straight out lying there?

I believe he's a false prophet and his motivation is money. This concept was actually pretty inevitable, we've already had the New York Times best seller "90 minutes in Heaven" so it's only fitting to get "23 minutes in Hell". All about the Benjamin's.
