DNA is like a blueprint. It pre-codes in advance for something other than itself. You simply do not get things like that to occur naturally. Right. This is where I start to go from "Wow you're religion is incredibly silly and, in some circumstances, outright dangerous" to thinking that the individual has serious mental problems. The fact seems to be that most debates about christianity end up with some "representing" christian claiming that evolution is a fraud. This sort of stuff tends to skew perceptions, you know? Having creationists represent the "christians are intelligent" camp is like having me represent the "atheists aren't assholes" camp. There are a lot of non-asshole atheists, I just don't happen to be one of them. Likewise, there are plenty of christians that aren't drooling, backwards imbeciles and creationists just don't happen to be among them.

Personally, I think that everything proven by science to be true is true. I am not entirely sure of my position on evolution: I am considering it as a possibility. I see no reason why man's body could not possibly have arisen by natural means. I believe that everything in the Bible is true, but I am open to varying interpretations of the text.

I would get the creationists under control if you want this to stop. Also, note the typical christian whining. Pretty much only atheists are going to be calling you backwards hicks. Atheists make up a relatively small (but thank christ, growing) percentage of the population. So *everyone* doesn't think you're a bunch of idiots. The majority of people in my country for instance don't think that you're a bunch of idiots. You guys are the majority. So if you really feel that *everyone* is calling you an idiot, then there are a lot of christians doing it too.

Claiming the first cell spawned out of random chemicals bumping into eachother, is the same like saying that the first computer came into existence by random junk from a junkyard bumping into eachother and accidently creating a computer. However, the first cell is way more complex than the first computer.

Just as it is obvious and logical that computers must have been created, it is also obvious that cells and DNA must have been created.

Cells and electric circuits are not comparable, in any way, at all. They are completely different life forms. Also, you have absolutely no basis for saying that the first cell is more complex than the first computer. This is just one of those facts you like to pull out of your ass, when you know you've been defeated in the existing discussion, but don't want to admit it.

Also, I'd like you to prove your claim that the first cell is more complex than the first computer, and I'd also like to see you explain the similarity between these two completely different things, so that we can understand whether you actually had a reason to bring this subject into the discussion (computers) or if we you just wanted to dodge Xei's post. Which is what it looks like right now.

So to sum it up:

2) Prove your claim about computers and cells.

Life is still a mystery. The mechanisms of the brain are still a mystery. Computers are not.

Computers are certainly a mystery. We still keep making them better and better, constantly finding out how new things that we can use to improve circuits. Computer science isn't the same as molecular biology, but they are both incredibly advanced fields. Some of the algorithms we employ in software is just astounding. And it's just the tip of the iceberg.
