You should take linear algebra. It's loaded with all sorts of fun stuff The enjoyment from math depends highly on your teacher. If you get stuck with a teacher who sucks at teaching, math will be horrible. But if you get a great teacher who is amazing at explaining things, be prepared to be wowed by math.
For calc. II, I never had to do any homework, and still learned everything just by going to class and paying attention. But for differential equations, I had the shittiest teacher, who just copied his notes onto the board, while not explaining what he's doing at all, and then would erase them and move on way too fast. For that class, I had to do extra homework to learn the concepts, and once I figured it out, I felt like I could teach someone how to do it very easily. Now I'm in linear algebra, and I have the best teacher.
I feel like a lot of the material given to students is completely useless and beats around the bush, only wasting time as it goes in one ear and out the other. Classes should focus more on what you need to know to solve problems, instead of on that combined with random shit you'll never use.
Some teachers are just crap and shouldn't be teaching. Unless of course their intention is to confuse people and turn them away from the subject being taught.
