Maybe not innocent enough, to judgmental. Like if everyone knew each others thoughts, people probably couldn't handle it. Like they can't handle nakedness. It's a matter of not being able to handle the truth. On the other hand clothes can be pretty and part of you. They reflect the times. I'd probably still use them most of the time anyway. Some people you just don't want to see naked because you don't like them. I think it protects people from that as it's such a personal thing. The human body is extremely sexual and unique in nature that it overshadows the entire social structure of how people operate. Having the plain reality in front of us like that would force a change of culture and thinking in the way we operate as a society. The change would be so great it would be painful. That's why it's only gradually happening as we evolve. In our case only when we think about and question things can we evolve. Think back in the old days how women dressed compared to now. This subject normally wouldn't even be considered. So that's progress. Animals are different because they don't have the same sense of self awareness to be dealing with those kinds of problems. When you get to the human being stage everything gets more intense and complex. That is the price of the benifits. It's an interesting subject so thanks for bringing it up.

Yeah indeed, the reason why the Koran says women need to cover their bodies is because the body of women is sacred. Watching the female body will aruouse "the devil" inside men, and will distract them from their goal. Being able to see the female body naked all the time will make it worth less.. if you understand what I mean.

I also prefer women to keep their clothes on (except when I tell them to take them off )... if all women ran around naked all the time, seeing a naked female body wouldn't do anything to me anymore...

Very good point indeed. I never saw it that way.

but if we were naked all the time there would be less rape. we would be used to it and men wouldn't be as destracted as they are now at the sight of a naked woman. we would also reproduce less because the urge wouldn't be as strong because we would be used to each other.

I think if you worry about why we wear clothes than you can't dress well and don't dress fly e tc.

A nudist colony might be the ticket.


Anyway, clothes are a way of expressing yourself (and your form) and also keeping warm. Someone in a suit looks more stately and mature than in a tutu, or naked. Likewise, a woman in a dress looks better than in a suit (IMHO don't kill me feminists)

We wear clothes because it gives the guys with small dicks a chance.

Well, reverse engineering the mind is hard...kind of like saying how do you get to the number 60? when all you see is the number 60. 5 * 12? 2 * 30?
Things like this are too complicated to ever really come up with a correct reason. It may have started with it being cold, or whatever, but then why have different styles of clothes...clothes that aren't comfortable, etc.

So why do we wear clothes? There are lots of reasons why it might be true...and all the ones you think of may be correct or incorrect.

If you ask me...clothes are like when birds flash each other their bright colors...

This might be a reason why you pay strippers to strip and to not just show up naked. The taking off of the clothes is a signal that makes you think wohoo! They want to fuck me!

Examples of this are the "trench coat" fantasies...where you and your mate role play in which one of you shows up at the door in a trench coat completely naked underneath. That is more "enticing" than them showing up just naked, or for some people more enticing than just showing up in a bra and panties.

Lots of clothes are made so you can specifically put them on to be taken off like eatable undies, or different types of lingerie.

Self-consciousness is why we wear clothes, and to protect our skin from the sun's rays, and from perverts, and to keep us warm in the cold, and to look cute also.

Without clothes we would be animals, we have clothes to make us look good or fashionable, imagine a world without clothes and makeup, that would be a terrible world.

A world with no tight jeans and cute shirts would be a bad world. Also like I wrote before, to protect ourselves from perv's with wandering eyes.

Also, its kinda gross, if we were all nude, I personally do not want to see some people's parts...especially older people.

now if I worked in an enviroment with both attractive men and women, i would love to see that...but i would be to scared to be nude myself.

Plus, I love the feeling of tight denim and cotton on my skin, hugging my body..it feels nice.

While some women are gorgeous, most aren't

that is why we humans wear clothes, it covers things we don't want seen, and it makes you feel safer...I feel safe with clothes opposed to nude.

I've got nothing to hide, I admit my body is good but, being nude in front of strangers is just, wrong to me. Also, clothes can be really nice, shopping for clothes and finally finding that perfect shirt that just matches your body is a great experience!

I don't agree with that, there are tons of things outside of just physical attributes that could bring beauty out from within. Do you remember the famous saying, beauty is in the eye of the beholder? There is someone for everyone in this world.


I do agree with Guerilla he makes a good point. Self-consciousness would probably be a major reason. People wear clothes to hide or to feel more secure. I also think people wear clothes to create a more physical and psychological barrier between themselves and others. People ususally try to fit in because acceptance is a major concern. Just my input.

I wish I had a cool girl friend to go shopping with, too bad I don't know many people here in phoenix, but things will change soon enough maybe.
