Thread: Margaret MacDonald dogma, or doctrine

Within the circles of denominational Christendom there is an adherence to a presumptive dogma which fore tells of an event of Earth shaking proportions. When in 1830 a fifteen year old Scottish young lady named Margaret MacDonald had a vision of being lifted off the Earth soon after it was proclaimed to be “gospel.” And, then, picked up a noted lawyer Cyrus I. Scofield (1843-1921), incorporated the teaching into the interoperated vision into reference notes for the bible which came to be the “Scofield Reference Bible” (1909).

This point within church history changed this vision and the purpose of the church and it’s destination. Under the hand of the civil war America searched for new hope of escape from the horrors. Now because of the infiltration of this dogma, the church has shrugged off its divine responsibility of fulfilling God’s commandment in Genesis 1:27, 28.

With no purpose of what the churches calling is, in this end time, they have lost their strength, and authority to stand and rule and reign over all the earth, and subdue it, and rule over fish of the sea, and over fowl of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping upon the earth.'

Because of this break down of authority, the church has abandoned the peoples of the earth to lives of servitude, and hardship because of misinterpretation of the word. There are fundamental hermeneutics which are not followed in these interpretations. First and foremost Christ proclaimed “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” He is in a place of preparation, “In our hearts” He proclaimed “and if I go on and prepare for you a place, again do I come, and will receive you unto myself, that where I am ye also may be; (note that his coming is present tense.)

The word again points to the fact that he is coming a “second” time (again). First he came to die for all mankind, and at his return he comes without sin unto salvation, “at your request.” He in fact is come again! “Within a people,” come now to the end of waiting for his return. Behold I show you where he is. `Father, those whom Thou hast given to me, I will that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory that Thou didst give to me, because Thou didst love me before the foundation of the world.

He is in us! God has throughout his word set spiritual laws into action, and he is held to them, he can not violate them. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we--we shall be changed: “at your request” of his coming you are now “where I am”, in the spirit realm no longer tide to the natural plane, but awaken to a whole new person, we where changed “in a moment” in the Greek in a moment literally means “in atoms” We are where he is, because we are changed in our atomic structure, for without that change we could not follow.

Its only preaching if there is an arrogant, or forceful attitude, which is not the case. If I offend please forgive me. And simply turn away.

Well, you can put another one down for "stop preaching". And for the record preaching is not something delivered in an arrogant or forceful attitude, preaching is delivering a sermon.

Was there a particular discussion topic this preaching was leading in to?

I've had perfect strangers "preach" the ills of intolerance, and we were no where near a church, nor where they christian. And baby they where preach'n up a storm!

Intolerance is a real issue where as whats written in an old book is not.

If you guys actually read my post you would conclude that I am interested in conversation on the subject, as is true of all my post, and not just spewing controversial pap. I am interested in dialog.

So europe has already been through its rabidly fundamentalist stage, and seems to have grown out of it. I'd say that's a good thing.

I'd rather my country's beliefs be more comparable to current europe than middle-ages europe any day.

How from my posts did you surmise that this belief is from the Middle Ages? How is it that you guys are talking, but you’re not saying anything?

I was just drawing your paralell of europes/americas beliefs the other way. Europe has a more secular community because for most of last millennia it was a fundamentalist empire. As a consequence of developing through that phase, the society as a whole seems to have learnt that fundamentalism can be (and often is) a bad thing.

America, on the other hand, achieved its independance at a time when secular thought was beginning to flourish. Sure it began with the puritans and pilgrims (same thing??), but I believe that deism was beginning to rise at the time of that independance thing.

(deism seems, to me at least, to be a natural stepping stone from monotheistic thought to atheism - although there's nothing wrong with stopping in the middle; plenty of people seem to.)

America never really went through the largest fundamentalist phase (compared to europe anyway), which IMO is why fundamentalism is seen as a good thing in american society (among some circles, not all), and a bad thing in europe (again, not all). Which is why fundamentalism seems to be flourishing in america at the moment and not very many other places.

So I was not saying that your belief originated in the middle ages (although protestantism kind of did), I think I was just pointing out (albeit not very well) that europe having a more secular society is a natural consequence of a history of fundamentalism and well, thats probably a good thing.
