      Second thought experiment

      sloth's mistreated child lives in a box. He is fourty-twelve years old. He has lived in this box since the moment he was born. This box is painted black. Scotch taped to the side of this box there is a flat screen television. On this flat screen television, various television programs, movies, and news programs are played...
      backwards.

      If I let him out of his box today, will the world make sense to him? How would viewing fourty-twelve years of reversed reality affect his perception?

      What do you think?

      After so much neglect, the brain would remain considerably small making it almost impossible to learn new things. It would probably be driven insane, like catatonic as well.

      It would most certainly be a failed mind.

      Do you mean from a cultural standpoint or from a scientific standpoint? Either way no, you can't really understand something on any level of depth just from watching it on tv. It might be able to provide some basis on which he could slowly adjust to living in society.

      157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.
