Are we really "On The Inside Looking Out", or "On The Outside Looking In". What I mean is that we tend to perceive ourselves within our own heads but are we really that way.

Who knows?
I only mentioned this regarding OOBS etc.
EVER FELT BESIDE YOURSELF.................I MEAN IN A TIME OF STRESS.
yes, and it's starting to creep me out. I never had this sensation until recently, and what happens is, i find myself in a difficult situation, and instead of reacting, as i normally would, i freeze. And when i say i freeze, i mean that literally. I go totally cold, and numb. And everything that's happening, feels like it's happening to someone else, and i'm not really a part of it. Still present in the room, but not there physically.Quote:

If that makes any sense.
it's as if my brain has devised some kind of crazy coping method, so that i have to leave myself in order to deal with it.
Except that i don't. Deal with it. I come back to myself after the event, and then i'm in a state, usually crying my eyes out.
it happened the other day, and i came home wondering if i was going a bit mad!
Check my location, babe...

I try to see the truth in all things, especially myself! :)
We are the creators of our own existence, it's just that most people have forgotten this simple, logical truth. We perceive the earth and all that happens as some external influence, and this is what it appears to be on a basic surface level, but the theory dissolves when one looks at it from a deeper, more subtle perspective. The world we create around us is a reflection of what is on the inside. So if we want to change the world, we must change ourselves. But if we don't understand that the world is being generated from inside us, we will continually feel as if we're being influenced by a force outside ourselves. Consciousness is a vastly intelligent and powerful force, one which we are a part of, not separate from, or compartmentalized by. It's all in the mind. Consciousness can create scenarios for itself by the thought process. So because we believe this hologram to be real, and because we believe all the laws (gravity, solid materials, death), and because thought forms and points-of-view take the form of what appear to be separate people, we get the sense of individuality, as if we're looking at a world generated by something other than our own subconscious mind.
So the best thing you can do for yourself is: Relax, realize life is in fact a dream and just an experience for the mind, and understand that our procession through this rat maze is merely our journey back home, to all that exists and all that ever will be.
Wise words from one of my favourite bands: We are eternal, all this pain is an illusion. :)
Just have fun with life. Push its buttons, be creative, don't give two turds what others think of your actions, and really just be yourself. We were only put here to serve our global rulers, but we aren't programmed to unless we accept it!
I think it was Dr Susan Blackmore (Correct me if I'm wrong) who stated we may be on the "Outside Looking In". She used this as an arguement against Out of Body experiences. Daft Logic maybe. Also haven't certain 'objects' been placed in operating theatres out of view and have later been noticed by Near Death Patients.
