Thread: was this some kind of night terror?

i had a dream once, probably 11 years ago, and i've never been able to forget it. it's going to be weird so just bear with me, haha.

so in this dream, i had ended up at a daycare center. a crayola crayon daycare center, to be specific.. i'm not entirely sure if that matters or not. well, i was the only person there and it was dark and quite scary. i wanted out, so i tried to get out of the room. at that point, i started to wake up, but i couldn't get out of the dream. so i got out of my bed and started walking around the room, thinking that it would get me out. instead, i was literally doing exactly what i was doing in my dream, and i was definitely awake, but when i tried to open my eyes, i couldn't. i was trapped. my bedroom looked exactly like the room i was in.

i'm not entirely sure how i got out of there, i just know that when i opened my eyes, i saw what i was seeing in the dream. and it HURT to open my eyes.

but what was this? i've never been able to figure it out. it just makes no sense. and i still avoid crayons to this day. but that's just because i like colored pencils better, haha.
