Sorry I never got back to you, yesterday was a really busy day. I'm gonna PM you something.

Hahaha. I don't know a lot really, Japanese invaded my country during WWII so it was in our history books. I got some information from dramas too, many Asian countries were affected by them so it's not surprising for me to watch a drama about the Japanese occupation from other countries.

I know a little about other Asian cultures because we don't have a popular entertainment industry in my country, so many youngsters look at Korea, Japan, Taiwan and western regions for pop idols.

Generally, if an inhibitor can exist, then an inducer can as well. (Though that's not a guarantee.) Conversely, we could always try to find out more directly how dopamine stimulates melanopsin. There has to be some kind of more direct effect through D2, right?

Well, that would be those AANAT inhibitors I mentioned in my example in the PM. Reducing melatonin production definitely sounds like a promising route, but the question is... do we really want to stimulate serotonin activity at the same time? I mean, I'm sure something interesting could come out of it, but serotonin levels are actually at their lowest during REM. Given that we're going for a dreaming-while-awake state, that may not be totally relevant, but definitely worth considering, I think. Hmm....
