The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.
Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
A thousand pictures fill my head,
I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
and yet my limbs seems made of lead. ---

For the last few years, my dreams have been blurry. Usually always revolving around a few key themes:
- Large City-based, lots of narrow streets and alleys, parks, waterways
- Water in some way, large body or flood or heavy rains
- Searching for something in this cityscape
- The movement of going from one scene in the city to another, repeatedly
- Can tell there is detail, but too blurry to make out.
I do kind of shoot myself in the foot as I take things that inhibit dreaming which is causing the lack of clarity, but i usually wake up with the flashes and random bits from the dream, and they all seem to follow this pattern for the most part. I will sometimes wake up at the perfect moment in the sleep cycle to remember it, but those are rare these days.
Starting again to get back into the habit of recording them, as well as working on basic recall again.

Two dreams from last night, both non-lucid:
1) by some situation, zombies came about in the world. i remember being out driving on my old street and seeing them chasing all of my old neighbors around. skip to me and my girlfriend battling the zombies (who in one scene of the dream were wearing the palace guard uniforms from Aladdin) in what looked like either a giant ship, or a church, because there was a big wooden ceiling. skip to us battling zombies for control of a house. we win, sit on the couch, and talk about what we should do. i said we should go over to my cousin's house, which is right down the street, and steal all of his alcohol. My girlfriend is like "no way. it would be extremely dangerous to go out again, since there are a ton of zombies. plus, we don't need to be drinking, what if we are drunk and zombies try to attack?" i was pissed, but could see that she was right. cut to us driving on a highway, the car dying, and us hiding until another car comes. i remember seeing headlights approaching, but nothing past that.
2) The second dream was back at my high school, which i no longer go to. the football team got a new coach, who happened to be asian. he was recruiting players, and wanted my friend, D, to play for him. D said as of now, he respectfully declined, so he could see what his other options are with other teams. this was weird, and i should have realized i was dreaming, since high school football is the like the pros.
this has been the first time in a few months that i have remembered two dreams in one night. good thing i have started to work on it again, it's paying off.
